I could possibly just convert the Dota 2 forum to a MOBA forum to cover LoL as well. But I am not familiar with any system to spam LoL players to come here, or any appeal to coming here, since unlike Gaia there isn't really a way to hack LoL to my knowledge.

Ask Artificial about Mule Farm. He has the original source and all of the details. Old program made in Python.
He gave me a copy some time ago, but that is another thing on my other laptop.I'm lightning on my feet

Hard to really explain all at once.
Was a ton of bots in one (daily chance, fishing bot, slots, etc). Had an integrated plugin API so the bot was able to be ever-extended dynamically if you just wrote a plugin for it in Python. I believe Arti rewrote it a while ago but then stopped working on it (he isn't the original author of the program I believe).
I also think GAME's LG program is derived from it a bit.
Edit: contrary to the name, it actually had nothing to do with mules lol. (no idea why it was named that.)I'm lightning on my feet

Ok, I'm working on something similar to it now actually. It's actually fairly dynamic, and I just finished adding in a way to customize what abilities and modules each account will be able to load.
No time frame or guarantee I'll release this though.
Edit: I might be able to extend this into a plugin system as well.Last edited by Tree; 17 Jul. 2013 at 03:14am.

Every one talks about the 'glory days'. You know what I've done on the few forums I've owned to bring about these glory days? Run spammers 24/7 (with either auto generated or a pool of accounts) and release programs. There's a few members releasing programs (though that section needs to be organised), so all that needs doing is advertising.
- 17 Jul. 2013 03:49am #50
Yeah once I finish organizing up the Public Programs section it should be a lot better. I've already released the spammer to the UG, I'm not sure if anyone is running it though. I'll try to see if I can finish prefixing the Public Programs tonight if I'm able to get on.
People will come here so long as there is some form of bot that allows them to not do the work themselves.
I forgot to finish organizing it today because I got caught up in programming

Strongly disagree that advertising is the only thing that needs to be done. It's definitely key in volume of the user base, but not imperative.
Back then LG had a 'new' feel so to speak. There was a chat system. The theme wasn't outdated by like 3-4 years like it is now. There was an active site as the backbone of LG's activity -- aka Gaia. And so on and so forth.
So that means LG needs newer content. A new general theme (not talking about the forum theme but rather what we're about, what members post, what the site's flagship is, etc). Overall needs more polishing and refurbishment.
But once again the activity and success of the site ultimately lies in what the members contribute or bring to the table. So there's that.I'm lightning on my feet

LGaia was made from scratch. I've never used any of LG's programs, so I've never had a clue what they did or how they operated.
Oddly enough, as much as I try to contribute programming-wise, I've had no involvement with any of the past LG programs.
Which I think is good for the site. As co-owner, my contributions and involvement has remained morally whitehat. Well, save breaking Gaia TOS with bots. But I personally don't consider automating what can be done by human input to be immoral.
Comes with the territory of an outdated software. Oddly enough, the outdated software is better than the 'indated' alternative. I wouldn't mind a fresh skin. But good ones aren't easy to find.

I know I'm not the most active member of this site but I used to be active on another botting site for over two years (epicbot, sythe, ect), from being there and other sites I've released some things that have made those sites, some of those things were
- Always Releasing New Bots
- A variety of topics ie. automotive, gaming, serious topics ect.
- A place for people to discuss ie. A chatbox or something
Always releasing new bots - This shows people that this site isnt dead, nor that the site is inactive. It'll promote people to come here even tho you might get a leacher you also have to realize. One leacher tells two people this site, gets our name out and someone might joined. Now you got two more people and so on.
A variety of topics, will allow users to converse a whole hell of alot more. With the simple topics we have programming, neopets, gaia, you don't allow people to have much of a conversations as its limited. If you gave more sections like automotive or even other games, habbo, WoW, something else and a few more you will spark more conversations showing were not dead to people and that they can freely talk.
A Place to talk, yes sadly this does take away from the conversations on the forum but it also allows people to talk that was the hugest thing on one of the sites I was at, in the chatbox you could have 20+ users there just talking. At times it can promote a friendly environment and to actually set good rules up it can also promote the forums a tad bit, in the chatbox people cant talk about market, bot requests, support (this could be huge as people are actively needing help with bots from what i've seen) and ect.
There are so many ideas that can be done and such to improve this site. Even a little advertising places wont even hurt.
SIMPLE SUMMARY/CONDENSE VERSION : New Bots, New SubForums, Need Better ways to communicate with members, Better Advertising
- 15 Aug. 2013 04:00am #54
New bots and advertising are the current focus, with the latter coming after the former. I added Tree as able to upload new bots, but so far there's just been one release. Need more programmers who'd be willing to contribute, and it should be fine. He and I can't do all the work ourselves. I plan on releasing the bots I make for my own purposes, as I have with the Steam Market bot, which will mean ads will bring in a more diverse community than Gaia-centric. But problem is my computer is too shitty to record an ad video to showcase the bot effects, sooooo that's getting procrastinated.
Just need to think of a way to reward members who can do such advertising. I suppose I can give a Director-esque award to anyone who makes a YouTube video showing off the effects of the bots with a link back to LG in the description.
- 16 Aug. 2013 01:42am #55
Does it just have to be a youtube video thats not the only form of advertising, why not have people put it as there signature on other sites, and why not sorta make a huge contest with referals like if you get x amount you get this award and the first person to get x referrals wins this rare thing or something. Cause if they do that it'll allow people to use there judgement to get people to join and spark creativity which will make better videos and advertising methods
- 16 Aug. 2013 08:59pm #56
It doesn't have to be YouTube, but YT has been shown to be very successful at drawing interested crowds. There have been contests for referrals in the past, but too few participated. Until we have a more active userbase, referral contests probably won't be as efficient as other means of advertising.

This. This user right here knows what hes doing.
This site needs a MAJOR boost and by that I mean a whole new re-around, the current scenario isn't working out right? Why not "modify" a few forums, sub-forums, etc. Add some custom plugins, maybe a new theme, some advertisements?, few new bots for some games?, etc. Also like monthly or weekly giveaways on certain games? Like a certain month its Gaia then Runescape then Neopets then this then that.
TD;LR -
*New forums?
*New sub-forums?
*Custom plugins?
*New theme?
*Advertise the site?
*Updated bots?
*Monthly/weekly giveaways? (based on certain games)
Its late and I'm not thinking correctly also I'm on my phone srk with me here.Spoiler:

If you read a bit before this post you would have seen that a new theme wont work as this site is already outdated and it sorta what comes with the forum, and a real good theme in terms of skin are really rare to find
The new bots, advertisement, and sub forums, have been mentioned also. The only one not mentioned was the giveaway and if not mistakin tree said he was going to do this months ago

Working on a new theme. Kinda. At least one not as cartoonish. You can check it out by switching to "Bitten Fruit" from the dropdown in the bottom left of the page. It's a bit cleaner than the current one, though Arti doesn't like it. I made a banner request topic in the Artwork forum, but nothing came that really fit the theme.

Yup, LogicalGamers - YouTube but when this site was filled with activity Artificial was making some really cool programs for Gaia and showing off some exploits.

Here's a few things I've been thinking.
- Programmers need trk together.
If we could get a group or two(maybe 3?) for the major languages.
so like have a VB / Python / JS teams that work on releasing projects together.
I could write a lot about this dynamic and how it could help, but i'll leave it as an idea.
- Open the scope of LG
gaia is dying (sadly) and we need to attract users from the PC / web-based games that are emerging.
this may mean taking the gaia board, and making it a web-based board, and moving releases under the programming section.
- Content
I feel LG lacks from not enough strong content.
I remember EBU in it's old days had a review section. This could be a way to have members share what they're playing and generate more content

This is just what I'm thinking after reading the thread.
advertising will play a huge role as well in brining users in.https://discord.gg/TvN6xUb ~ chat on discord pls.

From what I remember, when LG was most active we had contests for referrals, guides to all sorts of things, advertising, and the like. We also had many things that kept the site's social aspect up. I think I recall there being a couple small programs that weren't tucked away in the gold basement, available for the public. The incentive was to give them a taste of the minor league things, and advise them that with contribution and good conduct, they would be allowed to see what's behind door number one.
Also, I know it's the internet, but users have genuine concerns and questions, and while it's meant to be fun, users won't want to return to a forum if the moderators and contributors are trolling and bashing one another. It needs to be shown that no one is above the rules, so no one feels neglected.I am steady killin' fools.

Honestly we need to move away from gaia if we continue to cling to it we will be dragged down by their dwindling fan base. If we began to lean towards console gaming we have a chance to gain a large community of gamers. I know it will suck but maybe have some ads on the site for a while to generate a little bit of revenue to allow us to advertise on other sites to gain more users. We can also open a data base of game cheat/hacks for console games. I believe that console gaming is what will save this site for the most part. We can even host contests for xbox/ps shooters. But again we need more funding to allow large scale advertising such as T-shirts, hat's and other such.
In short:
- Advertising on the site for a bit.
- Lean more towards Consoles (Game reviews, Cheat, Hacks, Clans, News,etc...)
- Gaming contests.
- Merchandise
I started a new job recently I will become more active after I'm out of training and that includes donating to the site. I want to see this site thrive, we have the capability to do so. We just need the motivation.Signature removed by Artificial. Too awesome for my eyes to see every time I log on.

I'm trying to add a series of userscripts as I make them to target an audience separate from Gaia. The reddit TF2 crowd has a bit of interest in some of my Steam/TF2-site userscripts, but I'll probably poke the fire a bit more before I release them and maybe that'll draw some new members. Hopefully there'll be some more userscripts for me to make soon. I enjoy making them, and they're easy demand, and being site-specific, there's a well-defined audience to advertise too.
I think most of all, our draw comes from the downloads. We have programmers, and our downloads give us something unique to only this website -- a reason to come here. We just need more programmers to submit more programs. I do what I can, but there's only so many userscripts for me to make. >_>

What about links on how to make your own programs/scripts, or guides of some sort? I think Social Engineering is a great topic to expand on as well.
I am steady killin' fools.
- 24 Sep. 2013 01:56am #71
If we're able to expand to Social Engineering it could either be the best or worst thing this site is done as many different people view this different ways (Some view it as Okay Some Dont) I could possibly see it being good for this site but same time I truely dont know. If we do Id gladly write a few guides :p

I'd like a forum for Terraria and Minecraft play together. Maybe a skype group call.
I dunno....I'd say more bots but meh. We need more of a user base I think.
Roleplay forums.....I don't know how many people would even want that.
I wouldn't mind guides posted for coding.
It would help with my game designing as I have to know python at the very least.
- 05 Nov. 2013 12:43am #73
I can make a Skype group, but yall'd have to keep it active. I wouldn't be able to host the calls often myself, but anyone is free to. I'll add anyone I already have on my Skype list.
EDIT: Skype group made. Add me at charles-stover, gimme your LG username, and I'll add you to the chat group.

What would you guys think about resetting LGG and only make it generateable through direct purchase (e.g. $1 = 100 LGG) instead of through posting, then having automated systems to allow developers to sell their programs for LGG, and cash out (e.g. 100 LGG = $0.50). This way, LGG has a stable value (and can be traded for things like Gaia accounts still) and developers have incentive to develop through monetary rewards for their work.

We can easily rake in members to stay if we can create a decent and successful team for Dota2 just try to at least make it to the top.
Then make a subforum like PlayDota's where players can discuss strategies and post guides. We can try making detailed guides and tips for each hero.
Humans yawn when they think of it.

A little OT but is LGG even worth anything?
