Discuss political concept:
Tax the rich, but instead of using the money for welfare, use it to increase the minimum wage.
That way, only those with jobs receive the benefit. There are no people cheating the system and using it as a job substitute. Small businesses which operate outside of the "rich" income bracket will still be able to create new jobs at a previous minimum wage cost. Workers get more money to positively influence the economy and meet a modern-cost standard of living.

I can't imagine any politician that would do this.
Our minimum wage is definitely dragging behind inflation though at this point.
I believe that it's a good step to close the huge gap that is the us economy.
10.50$ seems like a reasonable starting wage to me.https://discord.gg/TvN6xUb ~ chat on discord pls.

I cant believe people work for 8$ a hour at fast food places, where I work I started with 13.5 a hour and I literally got the job straight out of high school

I worked for $7.25 in sales. I come from financial security, though, so it was enough. Though didn't really match the $20/hour I get when programming. As far as the minimum wage goes, I see it as a social issue, which I support.
