Alright so we all have dreams that we like and dreams that we don't. We have those dreams that make you feel weightless and amazing for the 20 seconds you remember of it. We got those dreams that keep happening and don't know why. We have those dreams that make you cringe cause some shit happened that you don't remember or don't want to.
Anyways, let me tell you about my experience with some dreams. Feel free to share yours.
About 2 months ago, I had a dream that really made me think. I was in a car, parked by a cliff with a women (to be my mother) and a little girl and a little boy (to be my little brother and sister). Mother was crying and I didn't know why. We just sat in the car waiting. She then said to me in a weeping nasally voice that I had to pick one. "What"? She started to explain some real deep shit. How her life was a mess and she needed to end it. She was going to kill herself by jumping off the cliff into a bunch of rocks, but that wasn't all of it, she wanted to take one of them. She wanted to take one of my siblings to kill herself with. I had to choose which one I wanted to live with. How could anyone do that shit? Than, my dream skipped to a movie like scene where a man and a women were eating, hunched over a spindle and the women was crying. It than skipped back and I was stepping out of the car with one of my siblings in my hand, and one of my siblings in her hand. I dont remember who was who, but than she jumped off the cliff and one of my siblings was crying a real high pitched cry.
I woke up literally gasping for air like I didn't know how to breathe. This just made me think ya know, but get this shit,
I just came back from seeing the movie "mama" and my fucking dream was practically the ending of the movie.

Ever since I was a child, I've had a problem with distinguishing the difference between my dreams and reality.
Whenever I dream of being in a location, that location looks different than its real-world counterpart. But it always looks the same in the dream. Like the difference between Light and Dark worlds in LoZLttP. I imagine sleep is just very in tune with gist memory or something.

Typically I don't dream. When I don't get enough sleep though I have extremely vivid dreams that replicate reality and I end up confused as to what is real and isn't I have false memories sometimes as a result, I only discover them when events conflict with them or I happen to re-examine them.
Oh, I also can't walk up stairs in my dreams. it wakes me up with out fail. Even if I don't trip in the dream, the fact my body doesn't feel like I'm going up stairs makes me think I'm falling and I wake up.
The only dream I can remember at all is one I had when I was about 5. It involved hiding/being trapped with a werewolf/character from garbage monsters in a house by my daycare. I hid under the sink.

Coffin, Charlie, I don't think either of you should ever attempt lucid dreaming.
I remember pieces of multiple dreams every night, and just take my word for it when I say they are off the wall. I'm pretty sure some of them might be from the stimuli around me while I'm out, such as a TV or a video game from an insomniac boy. However on occasion I'll notice a dream has such an impact it causes me to remember everything about the dream, and react to it in real life. For instance I was angry at my boy in my dream, and all of a sudden I just got in his face IRL and said, "HUH?!" really loud, like I was accusing him of something, to the point I woke myself up.
I really think dreams just stem from unaddressed thoughts that your conscious or sub conscious has stored, and the time you're asleep is the only time the brain has to communicate those thoughts due to the amount of processes it handles throughout the day just with daily tasks and commands. I don't really understand why it's so cryptic sometimes, but the mind is a mysterious thing.I am steady killin' fools.

I can't lucid dream. I've had them start plenty of times, but I can't keep focus and lose it within minutes. Most I've ever been able to do in a lucid dream is take a few steps.

I don't know man, something about it just wigs me out. The unknown's possibly. Something that's definitely worth looking into though.

To respond to your one statement, your conscious and subconscious communicate all day. Constantly. Almost everything that comes to your conscious has been subconsciously processed thoroughly already. Like what you see. Not only could you write a paper on what your subconscious does to your vision before it reaches your conscious, but there is so much it does you could teach a course over it. You could make it your life's work. That doesn't include everything else it does. It's not just something that happens when you're asleep. However, when you are asleep, it is very possible that your subconscious allows more information in. Instead of giving you subconscious data A, B, and C, it gives you subconscious data A, B, and D, and you construct resulting dreams.

I've lucid dreamt before, it was pretty neat.
As of lately, all of my dreams have involved Ghosts.
Living in a haunted house, and interacting with all of these ghosts and being afraid, but it being completely natural for some reason.
Either that, or I'm just standing in my hallway staring at a dark figure bent backwards at the end, smiling back at me.
Then it crawls on it's hands and feet really really fast and gets up in my face, before I wake up.☜(* x *)☞FOOL ON COOL GENERATION

The only dreams I can really share that would seem weird are the ones I started to have after coming back from Afghanistan. When I was taking the pills they gave us to take when we came back to get the pills they gave us when we went there out of our system, I started having these weird dreams. Like...riding a giant gorilla with Abraham Lincoln's head and the lowerbody of Shakira while flying through the sky on a motor-cycle covered in taco meat and chocolate pudding. I shit you not, that is a dream I had one night.

I can remember a ton of my dreams.
Most bad, some good.
I wish I didn't, but I will share two of them.
Rope Bridges:
I was in some foreign country, not too sure where to be exact but they had these HUGE, miles long rope bridges that were used to transport military soldiers.
Well, I don't know what I did but they were after me, I was running down one of these bridges until I ran and tripped at the crossbridges.
I already had a rifle at hand, so I started firing down the crossbridges, picking enemies off one at a time.
I looked to my sides and there were plenty more rifles in case I needed more ammo.
I took out like 30-40 soldiers before I took a bullet to the stomach and then woke up.
Cheating (night terror):
I was hanging out with my girlfriend when my friend's girlfriend showed up at my house to talk to me.
For some reason she sneaked in through the laundry room, so I ran down there and talked to her.
At one point in the dream, I pushed my friend's girlfriend up against something and we started making out.
My girlfriend happened to just be arriving at the basement where she caught me kissing this girl.
From there on, I must have spent 2 hours in the dream world trying to get her back. Woke up feeling like shit.
