Coffin, Charlie, I don't think either of you should ever attempt lucid dreaming.
I remember pieces of multiple dreams every night, and just take my word for it when I say they are off the wall. I'm pretty sure some of them might be from the stimuli around me while I'm out, such as a TV or a video game from an insomniac boy. However on occasion I'll notice a dream has such an impact it causes me to remember everything about the dream, and react to it in real life. For instance I was angry at my boy in my dream, and all of a sudden I just got in his face IRL and said, "HUH?!" really loud, like I was accusing him of something, to the point I woke myself up.
I really think dreams just stem from unaddressed thoughts that your conscious or sub conscious has stored, and the time you're asleep is the only time the brain has to communicate those thoughts due to the amount of processes it handles throughout the day just with daily tasks and commands. I don't really understand why it's so cryptic sometimes, but the mind is a mysterious thing.
