There is no apophis, NASA has even said that there is no astroid or meteor even close to the earth, and the chances of it hitting the planet, if there was, are far more astronomical than 1:49000. The earth is protected by the gravitational pull and reflex of Jupiter and the other Super-Giants that are near the planet. Their pull is so powerful that it cannot be passed unless those planets were to be destroyed instead.

And I'm more inclined to believe NASA than a lame movie or another lame source with no real scientific backing in space exploration, compared to an organization thats only real purpose is to explore space and the great abyss around us.
