What's up with 2012?

I believe that same sorta thing. It is possible, but about the same as the earth blowing up any day. It won't happen because the Mayans didn't finish their calender or anything like that (99.99% sure that it wont happen, if said another way).

Incorrect... The Mayans finished the calender, it ends on December 21st 2012.

Actually that's wrong as well, it actually doesn't end then it ends in like 24th century I believe. The calender speaks of a time of discovery and a time of beautiful change for humanity, where people got this dooms day stuff is beyond me.

The mayan calender has dates after December 21st, it's just people are stupid and don't take note of them. Yes the calender technically ends then but it was designed to be the mayans calender, they want us to make our own after the 21st.

The future is not set in stone, it can be altered by decisions made here and now. That is what the Mayans believed and I hold that close to home.
