So, talking to my friend of like 2 years, seems like a pretty chill guy.
Was complementing him on his i7 desktop with SLI'd graphics cards and shit, and suddenly his friend chimes in "He didn't buy it, you know."
I was like "wat?"
And they're like "Yeah, we went to the back of best buy and shoplifted a few i7 extremes, lots of Nvidia graphics cards, and a power supply and stuff"
>mfw like $4k worth of components
so yeah, my friend who I thought was chill turns out to be a shoplifting ******.
respect = 0 bro.
I build my computers, and every single part takes sweat, blood, and hard work to be able to afford. Even after that, I have a Phenom II processor and Radeon HD 4870, not the best computer ever.
He spends one night and gets a $4k computer, and sells the rest for money that went who-knows-where.
what a fag.

Why justify what we are? It's all the same, let's not try and hide it. Piracy, botting, shoplifting, hijacking, boosting, etc. It's literally all the same. It's a part of who we are. I hate when people try and be something they aren't, and I feel like if we try and justify or sugar-coat the fact that we're thieves and beggars (and some of us far beyond that), then we are ashamed and are trying to be someone we aren't.
I've shoplifted before. 99% of the time I did it for others, I even started doing it for others when I was 15 and had no money for Christmas presents. Does that make it right? No. Does that make it acceptable? No. But what does, is that I'm alright with this. I've learned from it. I've grown. I've learned theft is an art form.
But I digress.
As I said, it's all the same. No need to hide it, nor be ashamed of it. If you're a thief, at least admit to yourself who/what you are. Don't like it? Change it. Like getting free shit? Admit it and own it.
P.S. Your friend is a fucking idiot Flare. Best Buy has a shit ton of camera's. Even if it's too late to get him or if they don't have enough clear (as in perfectly clearly seeing what he did on camera) evidence of the crime, I assure you they know who did it and have him marked for return. Dumb shit should have just bought one thing, and social engineered the rest.

Lol I know I steal a lot of shit online but idk I guess I just see stealing physical stuff to be immature. Running with shit from a store is retarded, but if you can get them to hand it to you for free through social engineering? Then I would respect you. Idk, I just feel petty shoplifting is just a stupid and immature way to steal hahaha.

How is tricking someone into giving you something any different. If I walk into best buy or even a k-mart with a fake receipt and a broken xbox, but some how convince the store's cashier it came that way so she replaces it free of charge. That wouldn't be just as bad as me running in grabbing it and running out?

I can see what Flare is saying here. Petty shoplifting would be like the bottom of the totem pole of theft. He means it's crude, it's primal, and it's below him. Look at it this way. He's saying straight up reckless murder is the equivalent of petty shoplifting, and being a professional hitman would be SE'ing. You feel classier, a sense of respect, pride, and dignity higher up the chain of crime.
I can dig it. I'd rather be classy than primal any day lol.

I get what your saying but Crime is crime.
If you kill a person as a hitman and get caught your charged for the same crime even if your just a random person.Signature removed by Artificial. Too awesome for my eyes to see every time I log on.

Okay. Here's the bottom line. You aren't better than anyone else. Nevermind your stupid ego, it's ten times more difficult to steal from a store than online, and 90 percent more likely you'll get caught. So as far as crimes go, shoplifting is way cooler than omg warezz and pixels 4 free. Second of all, it's not cool. Crime isn't cool. Social engineering isn't cool, and cheating people out of stuff they deserve so you can get it for free isn't cool.

You just mad because you don't have shop lifting skillz brah
- 06 Jun. 2013 04:56am #30
I'm not going to say anything about shoplifting because I used to do it too, but actually working for the stuff you want and getting it after you've been busting your ass off, feels way better than stealing it.
You'll regret stealing later.
Last night I had a vision of a disco in the sky, I saw angels and saints dancing together.
I remembered the thump of the bass and the pump of the kick, because my heart was almost out my body and I felt free, I felt joy,
I felt things I never thought I'd feel before. It was deep it was soulful it was techno it was disco,
a kaleidoscope of sounds it was truly underground it was an essential mix in the cloud where we could dance and sing out loud
it was New York Ibiza and Miami all wrapped up into one. There were speakers the size of skyscrapers and the stars they flickered like strobes,
and everybody loved everybody else, a tribal beast of rhythm a ceremony of sound, the gathering of the spirits that would lift us off the ground,
my vision was so clear, but it was still hazy in my mind, I must have went to house heaven, because nothing's that divine...

Shoplifting from little shops and people trying to struggle to pay is just fucked up.
But shoplifting from big corporations that don't really need the money at all is whatevers.

I mean, if you get away with shoplifting about $4,000 of merchandise there's a good chance you're not just grabbing and running.
There's a good chance people don't even realize what's going on.
Also when it comes to social engineering there are some pretty neat corporate scams that work not only with businesses but with places like Walmart and Target. They involve some amount of social engineering.
Kid gets a beginner job at Walmart with a cheap or non-existent ID.
Kid gets moved to the return desk or waits until he gets a chance to go back there.
Kid takes a large plasma TV box and fills it with small valuable pieces of merchandise, careful to remove all bar codes and such.
Kid puts plasma screen TV box back out onto shelves with its new contents.
Kid's friend comes by and legally purchases the box for a few hundred generating little suspicion and sells the contents for thousands.
I don't know if I got all the details right, but I heard this used trk. Remember hearing about some kids who made a lot of money for a long time off of it. There seem to be a lot of easier ways of social engineering money now a days though.I don't get tired.
