How long did it take you to build a decent strength towards benching weight?
Do you believe that if you put enough effort into something and give it your all, that you can succeed in "flying colors"?

NOTE: For questions I will give a detailed answer with examples. I need to get my processing power back to my old LG standards.
It has taken me a long time to get my bench weight to be what most classify as decent. To reach anything over 200lbs was something I considered a great accomplishment. The best way I did that was by progression in weight and progression in reps per given weight, building conditioning until I was ready for the next level.
And yes, I honestly do believe that anyone, if they put their mind to it can make their lives successful, and as you put it, in flying colors. For example. I got married young, 18. I made that mistake and have paid for it. I am now a few years older and divorced and in a relationship with another woman who is the perfect person for me. Shes almost as evil as I am. I am making about 50k a year and I have a full family as she has a daughter. I hit absolute bottom as I was going through the divorce and I have built my way back up from that low. So yes I believe it is possible.Voted Hottest Male Member

I see 200+ as an accomplishment as well. Last week is the first time that I pushed 5 reps of 225 and it was rough. I need to be able to push 20-30 reps within a year and a half. 40 reps if I want to be considered one of the strongest of the class. I have been training through reps over weight. I do 20-25 reps at 135 one set, 15 reps at 155, 10 reps at 175 and then 15-20 reps of 135.
The reason I ask is because I do not doubt that I can make it into the NFL, however my work ethic has been flawed the past week. My mind is in the right place but my feet don't do the walking. I've been training for this goal for 2-3 months now, it's really taking a toll on my body and my "way of life." It's not impossible to make it to the NFL, it just requires a lot of work which I am somewhat trying to put forth in order to make it. I really need to step it up with Spring coming around so that I could make an official campus visit for a University and I look like I can actually provide something to a team.
Anyhow, everything that you said > that. I am glad that you have found a new woman! You really deserve someone great because you are a great fucking guy Soul. And that's cute how you are both evil haha. It's good to know that you got back off of your feet and that you are alive and well because Marines and soldiers can tend to do dumb things when given the load of a divorce/breakup/bad thing.

Oh well I can only get so close to the right answer through guessing.
I honestly thought about enlisting, it would require a great resistance to an unbearable amount of stress, but I am not doing anything else with my life except trying to make it to the NFL to play football for the rest of my life. My goal might seem impossible, but I have it set in my mind that I can do it.

Please, just call me Soul.
I have a shephaard mix named Marley. She is adorable. If I could get to imgshack or something (its all restricted out here) I would post a picture.
I moved 13 times while I was growing up. Most of them in the same general area, but sometimes it was outside of the norm.
I have no favorite state. Each one has its ups and downs, usually more downs than ups. My least favorite would be CA. Fuck this state. I can't even get a concealed carry permit here because I am in the military, not that I would be able to as a civilian as it were.
My favorite color is green. Never changed on that one.
I have no political affiliation, but I do agree with certain aspects of multiple diplomats:
Ron Paul: Economic Reform
Rick Santorum: homeland focus
Obama: peace talks and withdrawing from the middle east.Voted Hottest Male Member

I have actually taken this into consideration and that's where the AFL comes in. Arena Football League has tryouts all over the place which I will definitely hit up!
If that doesn't work, I will have a degree in History and Education and if that doesn't work, I will flip burgers.

@Kain: Yes I watch TV. However most of it depresses me severely.
The top spot for my favorite shows are tied: Dexter, TruBlood, Sparticus, and the classic dragonball z.
My favorite book(s) is Sun Tzu's Art of War and Machiavelli's the Prince.
@Stormy: Alphabet backwards.
@Flare: My full name is in previous post. And no kids call me Billy. They usually called me Bill. I never went by Billy, and i still do not. I like to remain anonymous for the most part and hide behind the name Soul or Souleater. Even my girlfriend's kid doesn't call me Billy. Its usually Daddy because she thinks of me as her father.Last edited by Souleater; 06 Mar. 2012 at 02:37pm.

What's your favorite drink?
How do you like your steak?
Have you ever had Greek chicken?
What's your favorite kind of potato chip?

My favorite drink is TruBlood O+.
I like my steak bloody, but still hot.
I have had greek chicken, but only because my exwife forced me to try it. It wasn't bad but it just wasn't something that I would order for my self. If there is an animal that has face and part of its seared, grilled or broiled carcass is on the menu, I usually order that.
I have no particular fondness for potato chips anymore. They just aren't healthy. The grease and the salt aren't worth sacrifising a good body over.Voted Hottest Male Member

I have one place that recalls a fond memory. In binghamton ny there is a river and I would go fishing there with my dad and my sister Stephani.
I hate too many places to begin telling any stories.
My favorite store is Spencers. It kinda reminds me of LG. In the front it isn't that bad, but the further you go, the more depraved and sexual it gets.

All in all I have never really had a birthday. I haven't had one for almost 2 decades. For me its really just another day. For example. I couldn't even drink out here and I was in Russia for my last birthday.

I will listen to generally anything. I'm not really picky. The only chance I get to listen to music is when I'm in the gym. So anything that motivates me to push my body further I will listen to.

In all honesty. it was basically on a whim. I was deciding if I wanted to go to college or go straight intrking. I saw how the economy was getting and how shitty everything was in the time period so I enlisted. I originally was going to go into the army, but they were lying to me more than anyone else, and I read the contract I was going to sign and if I enlisted with that contract I got no bonuses and waived any right I could claim to bonus during a 4 year enlistment. So I went to the Marine recruiter and he lied as well, just not as bad and actually read my contract line for line with me so i knew i wasnt getting cheated.
Great question Stormy.Voted Hottest Male Member

How many times a week should I go to the gym to get toned abs by May? I'm normal weight and not toned at all. Bear in mind also that I'm a beginner. (This follows your question guidelines. )
And my boy was in the military but went AWOL and got discharged. Apparently the guys there were abusing the fact that they were enlisted longer.
Good thing is though, he didn't get a dishonorable discharge.I am steady killin' fools.

@Ethan: take everything they give you with a grain of salt. They will lie about jobs and boot camp, they will lie about bonuses and other certain things. Most of it will sound true, but most of it is bullshit. Ask people who are actually in for the reality on most things.
@Stormie: I suggest maybe 3 times a week with 1 day being long distance cardio, the other two being a misxture of resistance training and calisthetenics.Voted Hottest Male Member

@Snow: Best answer I can give Is by running long distance and couple it with weight training and thermogenics. But every individual body is different what might work for me might not work for you. I don't know eating habits, amount of average phyiscal activity done in the day for you, your stress factors, weight, body type, allergies, any of that great stuff that makes up your physical make up. All I can proscribe for questions like this is the tried and true ways, and trust me, distance running will do it. 7 miles at a decent pace will burn upwards of 1500 calories and will keep your metabolism going through the day.
