So I just had a seizure I wasn't even aware of, and I decided before I start taking my meds that were prescribed to check them out online. Here's what I came back with.
Possible Side effects
Withdraw leading to an ongoing set of seizures if medication is stopped
Depression
Hallucinating (hearing voices or seeing visions that do not exist)
Suicidal thoughts
Seizures that are worse or different
Fever
Sore throat and other signs of infection
Double vision
Itching
Rash
Swelling of the face
Drowsiness
Weakness
Unsteady walking
Coordination problems
Headache
Pain
Forgetfulness
Anxiety
Irritability or hostility
Dizziness
Moodiness
Nervousness
Loss of appetite
Vomiting
Diarrhea
Constipation
Changes in skin color.
But, I won't have seizures, probably.
Tl;dr: I'm fucked.

That's pretty much the norm when it comes to any medication of that nature.
Those however are the serious side effects that hopefully shouldn't happen to most of those who take it.
You're much more likely to feel sick and drowsy with some crazy mood swings. That being said you'll get that with most any seizure medication since its messing with brain chemistry.
D: (Interesting fact, a lot of anti-seizure meds and antidepressants go hand and hand.)

^I'm assuming that's the medication you're taking.
The best thing to duld read reviews on it.
On a side note I personally hate having to take medication.
So unless I need it or I'll die. I don't take it.
Pretty much all medications have contradicting side effects.
I take Metoprolol for my heart and it can cause the same thing I'm taking it for.
Plus it makes my hair fall out. Q__Q

I hate that kind of medicine. If it can cause what you have or something worse there is no reason for them to be allowed to sell it.
I hate antipsychotic because 9 times out of 10 they throw some random shit together over and over till it does what they want, then sell it almost regardless of side effects and having no clue how it works. If you can't understand how something works and it involves more negatives than positives how can you justify giving it to people?
I'm sorry about your heart and your hair Clover That really sucks.

I suppose its because there isn't anything really better to treat it. At least in my case my only other option is to have Catheter ablation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia surgery. Which is something I really don't want to do. Or be on calcium channel blockers which make me extremely ill. Besides I've been taking it since the end of 09. I just really hate the stuff and eventually having to go bald in your 20s or 30s sucks. Its okay though, at least I'm not dead. =P

My grandmother has an arrhythmia and a leaky valve. She's too old to have the surgery to repair either as she likely would not recover. She takes coumadin, which basically alters her blood pressure to help deal with her arrhythmia, granted they also shocked her once to get a near normal heartbeat. I don't know how similar your situation is medically but you could always ask about it as an option.
Bald is better than dead...though your hair may grow back if you ever get to stop taking the medicine.

I have inappropriate sinus tachycardia which is a type of arrhythmia. Basically my heart beats really fast, about 145 - 150bpm standing with no strain (Ie. Just standing there doing nothing) 125+ when laying down.
Though in my case my heart can hit up to 195 - 200 which is why I had to have my heart medically reset twice.
I'm not like really in danger of dying or anything but my cardiologist told me if I don't keep it in check I can really damage my heart.
Most of the time now when it bothers me it just makes it hard to breathe and makes me tired.
What I'm on is a beta blocker (lowers your blood pressure) called metoprolol. Coumadin is the brand name of the generic Warfarin which is actually a blood thinner. Which also has the side effect of hair loss, along with a whole slew of other things. I actually had it as a shot while I was the hospital to prevent a blood clot. (shit huts!) Its also/mostly used to treat certain heart disorders. I'm not sure I'd be able to take it though since its an Anticoagulant. D; I'll ask in January since I don't get on my boyfriends health insurance until then.
