Todays question:

What do you think would make kids actually enjoy school more?
#2
The education systems are archaic, and the new systems take nothing from the old ones, not even the good parts. A hybrid of both, would make school more efficient and enjoyable.
#3
comfortable rolly chairs. hot female teachers. More creative partner based homework/projects. free condoms in the bathroom.

those are honestly what i think would make school have more kids enjoy it.

For highschool.

Start at 10
End at 3
Have all major classes ( math, english, science,) and then 2 other electives.
1 hour classes, 1 hour lunch period = 6 periods.

I think that'd be a good schedule.

i didnt count 10, i was thinking,
10-11 is 1st hour, 11-12 is 2nd hour, 12-1 is 3rd hour, 1-2 is 4th hour, 2-3 is 5th hour.

I counted the same way you did. I miscounted :P
Since it ends at 3 it'd be 5 , 1 hour long periods.

7 classes, 7 hour days.
6 main classes, 1 elective in Elementary, elective may be substituted for a main class to open up later elective slots.
5 main classes, 2 elective in Middle, same elective policy
4 main classes, 3 electives in High, no substituting.

All main classes are given a benchmark test every quarter, instead of large tests at the end of the year.
Elective classes have EOC's designed by the teacher.

Homework is abolished, 'busy work' frowned upon.

There would be special classes for the more intelligent students that WEREN'T AP, they just moved faster than the regular classes, and had specialized benchmarking.

I think a more personal relation with the teacher (being able to call them by their first name, or whatever works best.
My old English Teacher, Mrs Morrison, would go out and get our class donuts every morning in Highschool. She'd literally SNEAK out of the building to do so, and she'd give us rides after school to wherever we needed to go.
She was the funny mom of the school, and everyone loved her.
It definitely improved my work ethic in english. I used to not be able to write AT ALL, but now I'm fairly decent at it because of that woman.

Learning, teaching, and personal development.
Go read the Yippie Manifesto.
