What is your view on them? And if your one of those people....What decided to make you gay/lesbian/bi?
I think, Its how they feel, and they should do what makes them happy. Everyone should be treated equally and not be considered a outcast or a weird person right? I'm sure it'd hurt them if you said EW she's/he's BI! Or something.
The topic caught my eye while reading about Rosie O Donell stepping out with her new girlfriend.
If you ARENT gay/lesbian/Bi:
What is your look on the subject?

I'm bi.
And I really don't know why I find some guys attractive.
I prefer girls but I've been with 2 guys.
- 31 Dec. 2009 04:14pm #3
I don't think you can decide whether you are gay, lesbian, or bi. But, I'm gay. I find guys attractive.
- 31 Dec. 2009 05:44pm #4
Meh, I'm straight. Someone told me it's a genetic disorder that makes you gay but I'm not sure.
- 31 Dec. 2009 06:10pm #5
how fucking disrespectful >=[
Being gay isn't a fucking disorder. Nor is it a choice. It's just... something that happens.
I also think that a thread like this can't be started unless you include every other sexual orientation out there. I for one consider myself pansexual, i'm not necessarily attracted to guys nor to girls, I'm attracted to people I find attractive. Love is genderless, and I truly don't mind if someone identifies as gay bi or lesbian. or pansexual for that matter.
- 31 Dec. 2009 06:48pm #6
I'm ok with everyone, love is love blah blah blah.
This reminds me though of this one experiment I read about, these people were researching lab rats, and when they started to get too over populated some showed homosexual behaviors in order to get the population down naturally. I thought that was very interesting

I'm attracted to both sexes, I prefer females sexually and males emotionally. Though I'd consider going for anyone as long as I was attracted to them and wasn't in a relationship. I don't really think anything decided to make me like the opposite gender. It just sort of happened.
- 31 Dec. 2009 09:53pm #8
Well I'm straight because I just don't find any interest in boys. I only like girls.
But I have dated a Bi girl before but I kinda prefer a Bi girl over a straight girl, I don't know why they just know different stuff and its pretty amazing.

My views on them? They are just people. People who go on about their business and do what they want in life. Nothing more, nothing less. Attraction is attraction. What makes them all googoo gaga in life is none of my concern and whatever floats their boats.
I'm straight, but I can't deny that I don't find women to be sexy and attractive. Only certain women though. I'm more attracted to a man than I am a woman, and I would rather date a man.
- 31 Dec. 2009 10:50pm #10
I'm straight, and think that people have a right to like what they want to like. Just because someone else in the world doesn't want to see it doesn't mean they don't have a right to like it. Kinda like Masturbation!
If your gay or bi-sexual, thats cool with me. I really don't care. I'm more worried about moral views then what gender you prefer to sleep with.Last edited by DjErebus; 31 Dec. 2009 at 10:52pm.

The problem occurs when someone mixes up the two, and most often, people do.
I think a more interesting factor to discuss is the internet. I've told my parents how I feel, but most people wouldn't have the courage to tell anyone they would see in real life that they were bi. But here, it's all, yeah, i'm bi, i'm gay i don't care, because of anonymity.

Im Bi and I believe Its more of a Choice than a Gene. I didnt really start liking girls until I was 15

I am straight.
Current evidence says being gay is a genetic factor and a naturally occurring one. Nature's birth control. People that claim its a choice are idiots. The only time its a choice is when you find you can have anal sex with any thing like the Greeks.
We know homosexual relationships are triggered in all other animals when the population becomes to great for their environment to sustain them. I'm currently of the belief that it works the same for us. We've altered our natural population curve to that of a J, something we share with rats. Eventually we will crash and the number of people will be reduced.
Bi most likely means your confused by your actual attraction or steams from something in your psyche.
I accept all these people, I have no problems with them, unless they start their bullshit Gay Pride and run around in thongs and such with signs, shoving their sexuality down my throat. Go be gay quietly, I don't parade around in a speedo screaming "I'm straight get used to it." They are the minority, you get over shadowed by the majority. Deal with it, its rather obvious that since the only way to reproduce is by hetrosexuality what will always be the majority.
An no you can't have the right to be married. You can have a civil union that gives you the same things as marriage gives married people but no marriage. Its an age old institution, tradition holds. Plus as I've explained countless times if you allow marriage to be a right(which its not) and alter its definition based on someone's sexual preference you open up a can of worms. Pedophilia, polygamy, and bestiality would all now have legal precedents to demand they be made legal. Because it is in the eyes of the legal system the same.

I am straight. I do joke around a lot and call guys sexy and stuff, but it's all in jest.
I adore gay people though. I have been around them a lot growing up and stuff.
The thing that irks me the most is when people say they are bi (or gay, sometimes) just for the attention. I saw this constantly in high school. I would be talking to someone and they would go out of their way to mention shit like "oh, i'm bi(or gay)..I hope that is okay" just out of the blue, trying to be edgy or some shit. Makes it unfair since I am unsure when someone is actually bisexual or gay and not just some attention whoring person who is just trying to be hip or some shit.
blah. I hate people. Most of them anyway.

Ummmm
I didn't CHOOSE to be attracted to men...
The same way straight people are attracted to the opposite sex, we're attracted to the same.
I see a hot guy, I want them. Straight girl sees hot guy, they want him.
It's not a choice, it's just your attraction.

I am ok with whatever the persons sexually preference. Whatever makes them happy is fine with me. But personally I like being straight.

Not to start to much of a heavy debate, but got to say, I disagree with you. Now I don't know to much about the science behind it, but I don't know the science behind what makes different races different either, but I do know when slavery was cool back in the day, the argument against marriage was basically the same damn thing.
Really sexuality is just what someone likes over another. Most kids don't like vegetables, I did, does this means I should have been not able to do some things that other kids did?
Essentially its the same thing.
Also: comparing it to Pedophilia or bestiality is just fucking wrong really. Two gays can consent to having sex, when it comes to Pedophilia or Bestiality, Half the party doesn't have the intelligence or strength to make a choice.
Really this isn't a science question, fuck the science behind it. I don't really give a fuck what science has to say about homosexuality, It is simply a moral question:
Do you want to put someone down for liking something different or not?

Some people can be extremists when it comes to homosexuality-hating...
Like my pastor coming to my house on a friday night and yelling that I was going to hell with all the other sinners.
Good times.

My girlfriend is bi, however, pretty much stopped the lesbian thing. I don't hate her or anything for it, it's just how she is. She loves talking to gay guys just because it's hilarious, it kinda is.
I'm not going to hate someone just because of their sexual orientation...

My personal view on this is if two people want to be together no matter what sex they are than they should go for it. And what I am you ask, you'll just have to find out for yourself.
Try to look at me from a different point of view than you would normally.

I like girls. Plus that way I am not disrespected by 90% the world...
Because I live in the riches country... We have more freedoms as well...
Lots of reasons. I love having a computer and love being on LG...
You know you love it here as much as she and I do...
(I don't know if these were directly intended for sydd, I just thought I would answer them while I was here...)

I think that people that try to stop things like gay/lesbian marriages need to just mind their own buisness. They are not telling you how to live your life so leave them alone and let them live theirs. I am straight because I am just not attracted to guys lol.
- 09 Jan. 2010 03:36am #32
I don't believe in Bisexual. If you like guys then your gay. I dislike gays, but Lesbian's are okay with me.
- 11 Jan. 2010 11:34pm #33
Im straight also...i think love is love and you can love who you want to love...love isnt a crime
- 12 Jan. 2010 03:38am #34
I don't really care what they are. They can do whatever they want.
- 12 Jan. 2010 04:05am #35
I used to be super homophobic until it turned out the girl I was dating was bi. She later dumped me for a girl, but w/e.
I am pretty tolerant now. I had a guy in my theatre class last year hitting on me all year, but he was pretty cool.LG's resident grammar nazi.

I'm Bi, with a prefrence for... Eh, depends on my mood. I've never really been with anyone in a serious relationship, but I'm attracted to both men and women.
Also, I hate people wo say they're bi like it's a fad. however on the internet it's hard to tell the difference, in the real world it can be easy to tell if you know the person, but you never know. I still try not to judge.

I don't understand it.
Why do people "not like"/hate gays/bis/lesbians?
That's like me saying "You know what. I don't like (insert race)" You didn't choose hat race. We didn't choose to be attracted to the same sex.
- 14 Jan. 2010 11:18pm #39
I dont hate, dislike, or anything else to bi's gay's or Lebians, or any other type of sexual orientation out there.
As for me, im not bi, nor am i straight... and im a male, so, no les...
I will not date a guy. but i will do stuff with a guy... I dunno why, i just will.
- 14 Jan. 2010 11:41pm #40
I'm perfectly fine with all. I think that no matter who they are or what their orientation is, if two people love each other they should be able to be with each other and be happy.
