This I agree with, and have personally experienced in the opposite way. I'm a 23 year old female, and in terms of body type, I am attractive. However, I don't show any of that off. Nearly all of my clothes are male / unisex. Usually somewhat baggy jeans and t-shirts. I don't wear makeup, do elaborate things with my hair, or wear any other kind of clothing or accessory that isn't practical. Because of the plain and unisex way I dress, there have been people who either questioned my sexuality and/or thought it was strange, weird, or "unacceptable" for me to not dress like "an attractive young woman should dress." Even my own mother thinks that the way I dress is unacceptable.
