Well, we've all heard many ways of the world ending but, no one knows it'll be true or not. But there are limitless ways the earth could end, even right now as you're reading this. So I'd like to see what's going on according to you guys, personally I think the world will end over the sun's red giant phase. As it grows and grows and grows, it'll be impossible to bear the heat of the sun so close to the earth, eventually burning it up. If not, the supernova will absolutely wipe it from existence.
Rules.
Don't flame others' posts. They do not have a wrong answer, nor have a right one, the world can even end with aliens for Christ's sake.

I think we are all gonna die.
Ok well as a christian, my general assumption is that there "weeping and gnashing of teeth", fires, floods, famine, salt, and other problems. All this after the rapture thoguh. That kind of thing you know?

When the sun turns into a red giant, expands and vaporizes the earth. But that's not for billions of years.
However, in about 1 billion years the temp on Earth will be too hot for water to exist on the surface.
So, there's that.
Or you know, power corruption, greed.I am steady killin' fools.

Assumes all christians believe in rapture.
Are you asking how the world ends as in the planet or the human race?
The human race is likely to wipe itself out or face insurmountable natural devastation. If we don't kill us my money is on either water shortage or virus/disease. Humans altered their population curve to that of a "j" curve with medicine, all "j" curve populations eventually face catastrophic to bring them back to sustainable levels or the population dies out entirely.
The world as in the planet is likely going to be enveloped but the sun toward the end of its life cycle, if it survives that then the subsequent death will get us. There is also the chance that before that some cosmic garbage hits us an destroys the planet.
The universe will end in one of two ways, either it will expand till all energy is expended and the temperature falls to absolute zero and time will stop or the expansion force of the universe will become less than gravity and spacetime will rebound in on itself and take everything back to singularity.
Involve or don't involve god in that how ever you wish. I personally think god exist outside of the universe which is why you can't prove or disprove him. Its also why there is evil and lack of divine intervention. The clock was built and wound, now you just let it run. While god is debatable the ends I have given yo are not, they are the only possible outcomes according to modern science.

My views are much the same as Coffin's; nevertheless we are being optimistic when we think that the world will end on its own naturally. Mankind as it is right now is tearing itself apart from the inside out. It's already come to 'every man for himself' and almost nobody tries helping other folks out. The dregs of society are eating away at the human fabric as it is. Things have already gotten so far out of hand in my home city I've taken to wearing concealed body armor (currently in modification) and an automatic sidearm.
I give mankind 200 years tops to survive as they are now. Either the world cleans its act up or we all go south when the next world war is fought. Look at what we've become. We're a bunch of monkeys sitting in different trees throwing coconuts on each other. Cooperation, since the dawn of time, has become a successful strategy for survival. However, when paired with politics, it's been bastardized so far out of hand that je ne sais quoi. Democracy is dead, long live democracy.

For all the stuff that happens around here, LG itself is always remarkably unchanged. Thanks to the folks who still remembered I was once here and welcomed me back despite me being retarded.
