Well I have seen ton's of social networks sites designed "for the user," but I am really interested in knowing, What do you really want from a social networking site?
(This is a question that can have endless answers please keep it within the realm of reality, if I decide to make use of your idea you will be invited to the beta opening.)
P.S. Be serious, please. (Asked my cousin and he started shouting "FREE PORN!!!," in the middle of biology today -.-)

I'd say Facebook is probably the best example for my "expectations."
I need something to talk to people at school, yet, ONLINE, not just by texting. Something visually easy to access and easily used. Sooo thus, Facebook has been my favorite over Myspace and bullshit like that forever.
If you're talking about you making one... don't bother, no offense but, you need a huge ass advertising to start something like that up...

Not really, It takes time and word of mouth. I had a small scale CMS Social Network site set up for me and 4 kids in computer class so we could cheat on the tests next thing I new there was over 300 accounts.
The best method of advertisement is not advertising at all.
^ Most non-specific line ever, simple means is socially speaking people are most likely to become active on a site that was personally introduced rather than advertised.
For example if you saw an advertisement for some toy that you thought look like shit would you buy it?
What if your best friend said it was the most meanwhile purchase he had ever made, you would at least think of it right?
That's my point.
As for your "expectations," would you mind going a little further into detail?
