Piercings/Tattoos - Hot or Not?

Personally I love piercings, I have a few myself (nose, ear x 5, naval) I'd love to get snake bites at some point.

Whereas I don't mind tattoos but I don't think i'd get one myself. Perhaps something small.

What about you? Do you have any tattoos, or/and piercings? And what are your views?

I'm saving for a back piece, a leg piece, an eyebrow piercing, and my second lip ring to make spider bites.
I wanted my navel but was afraid of scarring.

I'm picky with tattoos. I feel like if they aren't created or thought up by the person getting tatted, it's pretty lame.

I have one tattoo on my forearm, but I am trying to find a good back piece, and shoulder piece. I have the money but its a design I would want that is hard to find.

I've long contemplated getting my left ear pierced. I've had several female friends tell me to get my eyebrow pierced...not sure I want that.
Tattoo wise I've considered a black rose and a few symbols of personal meaning but I'll wait till I'm old an wrinkled.
In the end I've done nothing though.
I find both attractive when done tastefully. If you have more ink on you than a newspaper or more metal than a shipwreck you aren't expressing yourself, you're being obnoxious.
Also the idea that having either means of signifies and sort of "adultness" or "toughness" is bullshit.

Three in my right ear, two in the left. Though on girls I like neither facial piercings or tattoos. I like the look of skin, tats ruin that in my own opinion.

Though I'm getting a large back piece if I can ever get to Norway.

Personally I like both. Piercing over tattoos if the tattoos in question are super huge or look lame.
I was going to get an industrial but I chicken out at the last moment. I heard they take a while to heal.
Other than that I want to get a small tattoo of the random cross and wings (the one I normally draw on my art for my signature) with a barcode that says CL0V3R or something else. Still working on what it says. I want it to be personal to me. Haha

My friend is a tattoo artist in Norway and if I can ever get over there he's willing to do it for free. He's been featured in Inked, Tattoo Life and a few others and his rates are pretty high. Also he knows Turbo Negro!

I debated many a time to get a tat or piercing but upon further inspection, I realized that as much feelings and ways of "expressing themselves" that people put into the practice, it had zero meaning to me.

Personally don't care for either. A lot of piercings disgust and annoy me and the only way I'd ever get a tattoo is if it was small & meaningful, and it'd probably have to be easy to hide.
And I'm sorry, but if you're immensely overweight, probably should think twice about that tattoo.

I think the rule to keep in mind is you know it's going overboard when you see the piercings and tattoos before you see the actual person.

I prefer perhaps tribal tattoos on guys, not too big though. Maybe a whole sleeve would be the max that i'd prefer I also think that guys and piercings are pretty hot as long as it suits them

I'd say a lot of sluts have them "slag-tag" tattoos, which are placed on the lower back right above their bottoms. Usually tribal or a rose with thorns. Bleheehhh.
