RIVERBANK, CA - Stanislaus County Sheriff's deputies say two of the three people wanted in a deadly shooting outside of an ampm Thursday are considered armed and dangerous.

Deputy Andrew Winter said detectives were able to identify two shooting suspects as 14-year-old Turlock Diaz of Turlock and 18-year-old Daniel Pantoja of Riverbank.

According to Winter, the shooting happened after Chaz Bettencourt, 21, and his friend got into a fight with three people outside of the Riverbank ampm before 12:40 a.m. Thursday. Bettencourt died later at a Modesto hospital.

Lieutenant Mick Hardenbrook and other homicide detectives reviewed the store's security video.

"It's truly disturbing to see how these suspects attacked the victim like a pack of wolves," Hardenbrook said in a press release.

Homicide detectives say the shooting was not gang related, however, Diaz and Pantoja are affiliated with area gangs.
