You need an ice cream maker to do this!
Recipe:
2 eggs
2 C. milk
1/3 cup sugar
1 t. vanilla
1 C. heavy whipping cream
Sea salt to taste
Blue food coloring
Directions:
1. Seperate the eggs into two good sized bowls.
2. Beat the egg whites until stiff.
3. Mix the egg yolks and sugar until thick.
4. Slowly bring milk to boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
5. Pour hot milk into yolk/sugar mixture and mix well.
6. Pour milk/yolk/sugar mixture back into pot and heat on medium until thicker to make a custard. (DO NOT BOIL)
7. Pour custard in with beaten egg whites and mix well.
8. Add sea salt (keeping adding salt until it tastes salty sweet).
9. Put mixture in fridge to cool.
10. Once cool, add cream, vanilla and coloring to mixture.
11. Freeze, following your ice cream maker’s instructions.

Screen shot is through here. Of course its a small one, and you can make it bigger if you want, but its just to give the general idea of what it is supposed to look like.

This seems like an awesome idea. Either of you know of a decent, not-super-expensive, ice cream maker?

Ziploc Ice Cream
I learned how to make this about a year ago.
What you'll need:
* 1 tablespoon sugar
* 1/2 cup milk or half & half
* 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
* 6 tablespoons rock salt
* 1 pint-size plastic food storage bag (e.g., Ziploc)
* 1 gallon-size plastic food storage bag
* Ice cubes
How to make it:
1. Fill the large bag half full of ice, and add the rock salt. Seal the bag.
2. Put milk, vanilla, and sugar into the small bag, and seal it.
3. Place the small bag inside the large one, and seal it again carefully.
4. Shake until the mixture is ice cream, which takes about 5 minutes.
5. Wipe off the top of the small bag, then open it carefully. Enjoy!
Also 1/2 a cup of milk makes about one scoop of ice cream so if you want more double up on the recipe. Btw ice gets heavy so don't try to make too much at once.Signature removed by Artificial. Too awesome for my eyes to see every time I log on.

Add some additional flavorings (like almond extract, peppermint extract, etc, whatever kind you like) to taste if you're worries about flavor. I'd say about a half teaspoon for Mav's recipe. ^^

I know, i just don't see this working right with this procedure. It's good for people who don't have a churning machine, yes. But in reality ice cream takes a lot longer than 5 minutes to prepare. Even with a mechanical ice cream machine. It will have the texture of a garnita when you go to freeze it. If you're lucky it will be like a sorbet.

Personally I used a similar recipe for this sea salt ice cream. but I never thought of a way to get a mold that would make it appear to be like from the game, I pretty much froze it in a cookie pan and hoped for the best, ate it with a spoon.
I found that the salt inside of the recipe itself helps the ice cream factor melt more, and thats the only dislike I have about this treat. Its amazing though, and I've sold it at dollar auctions at my local anime club in town xD

Any silicone base mold would be perfect for this. We actually use something similar to these at school: Cold Molds. I've seen some in the Wilton cake section of Hobby Lobby before.

Can not compute. Knowing what it takes to make a true ice cream is just not letting me believe this. I still want to try it to see my outcome. No time at the moment, I work through the weekend and then go back to school right after.
