Communism. It sums up what RuneScape has become. Now, though communism isn't a bad thing, it's not what I want to see in a game. Agree or disagree?

I agree. Runescape used to be so much fun before this day and age =/

Traders and merchants have become nothing more than gamblers now. What with one giant marketplace which connects all of the servers and all of the people, and what with Jagex's control of said marketplace, Jagex pretty much controls all trade. The trade that it doesn't directly control, it indirectly controls, by informing people of the value of their items, and limiting value difference trades. Communism.

I agree in part. Jagex doesn't actually control the marketplace, they set the starting prices and let it go from there. Everything else is based upon supply and demand. It has become a communism in the fact that they have implemented all of the new trade rules and made it so much gayer.

And just for the record, communism sucks. I hope I don't begin a debate saying this.

Communism does suck. And this all comes back to why they should go back to the old RS.

But do they really let it go from there? Before there didn't used to be a set price on things, people used to barter and trade, and you had to be part of the "biz" to know the price of something. The price isn't going to move very much, because the suppliers will figure out that the demanders are going to be trying to buy the items as low as they can, and they will start from the bottom and work their way up. As such, the suppliers will have to put their item at the bottom for it to be bought. This is only the case for items where there are a lot of them. Point being, Jagex can maniuplate marketplace prices with a tap of a key.

It's not about your opinion on communism. Communism is a concept which wasn't supposed to be implemented by force, which is what Jagex did. Any debates about communism can be held in the debate section.
