Hello, welcome to my first guide on here :] Here is a noobs guide to their first 100k, when I was f2p, I found it hard to make decent money, so I'll start with f2p. I'll do p2p + pics later. Now for the guide
Method 1 & 2
Killing cows/chickens
- Go to lumbridge
- walk to the goblin house across the river lum
- Walk North to the cows
- Walk farther north and you will see chickens
- Kill cows for cowhide, and chickens for feathers.
- Tan the cowhides (optional)
- Sell on G.E.
Method 3
60+ WC REQUIRED!!!!
- Go anywhere with yew trees (Lumbridge forest, falador, etc)
- Cut yews
- Bank
- Try a foreign world (French/Brazilian) for less people, this works with all skills, but you must be fluent at the language OR just know the game well enough to know which button is which.
- Sell on GE
Method 4
40+ MINING REQUIRED!!!
- Go to a foreign world as listed abouve, links will be provided at bottom of post
- Go to the al kharid mining spot
- Mine Coal/Gold depending on your mining level
- Bank
- sell on GE, do not smelt the gold bars, they are worth less
Save Money
This saves money when you train mage
- Everyone knows this method, but just fist of guthix
- pick a popular FOG (fist of guthix) world and FIGHT
- remember to bring leather/dhide to protect yourself from other mages
- Remember, alternate between armors, leather/dhide and mage robes
Method 5
Get some decent armor and a wepon, and some food. Just in case.
- Buy a brass key in the G.E
- There is a house nearby the barbarian village, find it on the world map
- use the brass key on the door
- climb down
- kill the hill giants
- pick up the big bones
- remember if it is crowded, world hop or go to a foreign world (links at bottom of post)
- sell them on G.E.
Another Money Saving Tip
- Don't cook your fish, raw fish sell for more, because people want to cook them for xp
Free Fish/Food!
Go trld 1 or sometimes 2 and there are fishers giving away free fish, cook it or bank it.
If you are training in the stronghold, you can go here to get cooked food.
Method 6
- Just pk! Build up your ep, go to a 1 item world and FIGHT!
Rune Essence
Complete Rune Mysteries and go to Varrock magic shop. Right click and click teleport. Mine rune essence, or pure essence if you are a member. Rune essence is worth less and required 30 mining, but it still can be worth it.
Air Running
This is a long, but a pretty good method.
Go trld 16, with some essence that you mined or bought.
Start at the bank with 25 un-noted essence and an equipped air tiara.
Go to the air mysterious runes (look it up or follow someone) with your 25 essence. People will say "open" trade them and they will put up 2k and 25 noted essence. Run to the bank and un-note the essence and bank the 2k. Repeat.
That's all for now here are the links for the foreign versions:

These are all fairly obvious and take forever.

If you have 60wc I don't consider you a noob.

This guide takes to long =/.

Here is the best method of them all: Go level up and use higher leveled methods for making money. You make a shitload more probably faster since these are so slow plus you are a high level, thus no longer a noob.
PS: Hill Giants suck since on any world in the Edgeville dungeon it is always super packed and it is hard to get many kills.
And @Gabe's post, if you have 60 wc and still use some of these methods to make your money, I consider you a huge noob.FoRspArTA from the old LG, back in the Golden Age.

Also, the al kharid one is no where near feasible. To walk back and forth from that bank to wait for half an hour to get a full load, that's just waaay too long.

Gabe's latest post: 1 hour? try about 5 minutes, I'll post some better methods. Also 60 wc is easy (legit or botting) I'll as some stuff that's better.

Half an hour, not 1 hour. Read. And since that spot is always populated with power levelers and other people doing this it takes forever, trust me, I've tried.

Agreed with Gabe. When I was a noob back in the day I mined here for about a week and realized how much it sucks. There are decent rocks but bank is too far away and it is so overpopulated. If you want to make money off coal, go powerlevel off iron or something and mine in the Mining Guild in Fally. Close bank and so many rocks, it doesn't take long to find an unpopulated world.

Seeing as this is a guide for newbs, I highly doubt that they would be members unless having some previous experience with the game. Thus, why would they want to do this? Also, foreign worlds may be hard for newbs because of the different language and such.
- 21 Dec. 2009 12:39am #14
what if they spoke the language, also if you expiriment in those worlds, you'll get the hang of it

Well if they spoke the language it wouldn't exaclty be considered a foreign world to them. And if you mean they'll get the hang of the language in that world no just no. If you mean, as I assume you do, that they'll get the hang of the game, yes, after spending a lot of time searching for functions they probably can't get help on locating because of being in a foriegn world.

Seeing as it is like one of the top 5 languages in the world, I'd hope soo.
- 24 Dec. 2009 12:13am #18
k, so no problem. :p

Still, it's smarter for newbs to start on a world of the language they mainly speak. Easier to get help with everything and learn their way around.

man why havnt i thought of this thanx im gonna share with my friends
- 24 Dec. 2009 03:48am #21
I wouldn't do that. These methods are basically useless.

Um most people actually do stuff a night and in the morning other than just playing Runescape, I don't know about you, but I have a life. The reason no one is on during these times is because they are super inconvenient and everyone is doing other stuff in the evenings and in the mornings. You are much better off just using good methods, since they will make you more money faster and easier without having to jump worlds.
