yes in retrospect it would be slightly more like rep then anything, but some form of thanking is always ok. true it needs to be controlled if rep is usedfor any qualifications, which is why it should never be a a requirement for a rank. that is what always ends up causing problems.

If someone really appreciates someone's post, they could shoot them a PM/profile message o.o a 20 second job.

Speed isnt important when it comes down to it all. if its about speed, then a 5 second click is faster then a 20 second "job" of a message.
