I'm guessing this has already been over, but I haven't seen it, so. Onto UG Platinum.
UG Bronze - 100 Posts - 10 Referrals - Low voted programs will be posted in this section.
UG Silver - 500 Posts - 50 Referrals - Good programs will be posted in this section.
UG Gold - 1000 Posts - 100 Referrals - Best programs will be posted in this section.
UG Platinum - 5000 Posts - 500 Referrals and picked by the staff - Epic programs will be posted in this section.
This would ultimately create more members, but, then again, members WOULD abuse the system, and create accounts referring to them, over and over. But what's the actual ratio of members abusing this system? About 6/10 members. Also, I would like to suggest an invite to LG through emails, making it easier for the members here, and easier for the ones receiving the letter.

I don't really think this is a great idea because if you check peoples referrals you can see that only a few people on lg even have 1 i don't think there would be people in UG bronze or higher.

We havent had anyone brought up for UG Gold, but since there are no members in UG Gold to begin with, there is nothing overly epic about it.

What the fuck?
The following is no offense to anyone, and I am using myself as example only, EXAMPLE ONLY.
Okay. You for example, are going to Iraq or whatever soon(so you say). How the fuck will you vote while you're gone?
Torian is obsessed with his gaming more than anything, and last time I tried to prove myself to him, it ended up shit.
Arti is the invisible creator. Created site, kept it going, and now his excuse is the "update." I've seen the update, I'm no coder, but how the fuck is it taking MONTHS? I mean, I understand, people have lives and shit, but MONTHS?
Plobby is rarely on. Great mod, rarely on, nothing bad to say about him.
Google would approve of almost anyone. Which is a good and bad thing all in one, but oh well.
Our programmers, Bman, Chad, and Sk8er are perfectly fine. Sk8er rarely gets on nowadays, but it's alright, I know they're doing their best and shit. Bman and Chad can actively vote on who to let in, but Sk8er(or Gamer or whatever his new username is)'s vote will be missing till... how long would you wait for approval?
The programmers, more active than most of the staff, aren't considered staff, says Bman. Why the hell not? They contribute just like you and everyone else, sometimes even more, when they are called to. The programmers aren't even allowed to see UG Gold, what the fuck?
If your not going to add anyone in underground gold, then why have it? If every fucking member of the staff has to approve, they wont. Plain and simple, something will come up, and it'll fuck up the chances for that member. Please tell me one member on LG who doesn't have a problem with at least one of the staff members.
There should be a Underground Gold application, as there was with UG while Omega had his position, and when VIP was around. An application stating what is required, and in what ways the member has went above and beyond the requirements to be allowed in.
Souleater, please tell me, do you think you contribute to this site? Do you think, that after all your contributions, that EVERY staff member will vote yes, if you met the requirements?

What I think would serve LG better is a premium subscription system. Have it where a user can pay $7 a month and then they get promoted to the usergroup "Premium members" or something like that. Half the money would go to the site programmers. The better the programs a coder is releasing than the more money they get. The other half goes into development of new features for the site. Premium members also get access to exclusive features such as a chat box, being to change their user title, they get to test new site features etc. Users cans still get into UGS via a application process, the main purpose of the premium member system is donations.
This part is for Torian.

I couldnt agree more.
Us as the programming team dont even have access to underground gold.
Every member will NOT get a yes from every mod/admin/staff. NOBODY. (excluding thomas. Hes an ass kisser. <3)
The applications will be the best idea, I wont expect it until LG 4.0 though.
tl;dr : Total,fucking,win. Just do it people.Last edited by Bman; 05 Aug. 2010 at 05:55am.

Yeah, I get it. It was a bad suggestion on my part, no need to argue over my thread. Kthx.

I play just over 10 hours of gaming every 2 weeks. Do the math, that's far below the perquisite to be considered obsessed.
Alex doesn't want to release anything until he's ready to initiate his marketing/advertising method and give it his all, you guys shouldn't have even known about the update anyway.
Plobby is this generation of Shane.
Programmers are considered staff, hence why they have access to the moderator subforum, UG Gold was not further developed and as such, there is/was no need for anyone to see a blank forum.
If we did re-implement applications, it wouldn't be a requirement to get all staff to agree on each member simply because of our activity.

It is very important to keep the users of your site well informed of any major updates and get their opinion on what should be added to the site etc. Since after all, without users a forum is pointless. And you should keep your users informed on anything on the site not working. For example, before last week we had no idea that the plugin system was making the site crash. If we had known that as soon as it happened than we wouldn't have been bugging y'all about installing modifications that required the use of the plugin system.

I agree with some parts, but not all. Arti's coding of the site is different then it was with previous sites. Remember, this is vBulletin 4.0 now. I'm not saying Arti doesn't have the potential to do it, in fact I can guarantee you that he has the code 90% done if not finished already. It would just take longer because of the conversion + he's having life problems from what I've heard (which since it's taking months could quite possibly be very bad). And he's not only coding one thing y'know
Programmers don't count as staff, Site Programmers do (there's a difference).
I don't have a problem with the staff @.@ the last problem I had was in 1.0 with Arti when some dude hacked me and then 1pdfhj4w29qrw happened.
Worry about UG Gold later anyways, if Silver has nothing working at all then we have other priorities. And since nobody's getting in Gold anytime soon, they have plenty of time to create it/things for it.
This is good, this what put in place in LG 1.0 for UG (as opposed to VIP). It was like $8 a month or something... I wouldn't know because I was in UG anyways.

These are my points:
1. There is nothing in UG Gold as Torian explained, except a few dead programs that are moot, and a guide on something that is basically moot by this time..
2. Im not going to Iraq anymore (or Afghanistan), my unit is a non-deploying element.
3. There is no need for the programmers to see the moderator section until Alex sees fit. Programmers dont have the same powers as the Moderating staff does, hence why that is the way it is.
4. I could care less if I dont get approved for a section such as gold. Im here for LG, not the programs. any person can get ahold of programs if they have a paypal and the patience for a 4-6 week delivery time.
5. Applications are a good idea.
6. Premium members could work as an idea, but a round $10 should make it happen.
7. The cake is a lie.
That is pretty much it. Decipher and add what ever you want to make it seem vague. Black and white. Thats how it works.Voted Hottest Male Member
