A good suggestion would be a Donation button on the link bar of LG of set amounts you could donate for, and get exclusive Guides/Hacks/Programs on each section of the gaming forums, and maybe a different colored text in the donors username, and the permission to edit/customize their title (EX: Underground Bronze). This would sky rocket funds for the site, and it wouldn't ruin the economy.. Just an idea. *And if someone else had thought of this idea, and posted it, link me to the thread. Thanks.*

We use to do this. The user group was V.I.P. I think. [Not the benefits but the donation stuff.]
But Im not sure whether Arti. going to do this again or not.
Plus our program can easily be leak and stuff.Last edited by Google; 22 Mar. 2010 at 05:42am.

Honestly, having a donate button is a good idea. It would allow for exclusive hacks and tools for the site to be purchased. And lets face it, it would help take more of the strain off of Alex's back. But he doesn't seem to mind, just saying since I always offer and he says its fine.
I cant agree with special programs and stuff though. A few extra perks maybe. Like being able to change your title, and a name color, and maybe a bigger inbox and stuff. Nothing huge since giving money would be able to get more stuff for the site.Voted Hottest Male Member

Yeah we used to do this... You could buy regular UG membership monthly. I'm not sure what else was on offer.
It's a good idea. But it is also unfair to the people that worked hard to gain their status, whether it be UG or whatever. And someone could also buy their way in and then leak programs...
Maybe if each person was evaluated, and had to have some minimum requirements before being allowed to purchase UG it would weed out leakers. It is far from being fool proof though.
Maybe Arti and the other programmers could design something like Mulefarm and sell it from the site.
I think everyone going around with different coloured names could get annoying and also confuse people.
Perhaps for a large sum a person could purchase their own forum on the site.. that way it's far cheaper than running their own site, and things like members and traffic are already provided. They would then be the moderator of that forum. It could have its own rules, but also have to follow all the rules of LG.

they used to do this but then all the noobs just paid once got all hack and ditched it. all while they spammed the UG. it was horrible.

I have asked Alex on multiple occasions, and everytime he told me it was taken care of. And lets face it, if Alex needed help, he would ask those that offered. All he wants is activity for the site, since that will bring money to the site reguardless.
Start referring people that will be active and loyal to the site. All Alex wants is activity not donations.
Donations would be very important, but for now they arent, site activity is the most important.Voted Hottest Male Member

People got in an released what was in there to the public.
Ontopic: I like this idea. I wanted to donate.
- 26 Mar. 2010 01:51am #14
I mean, we can also donate just cause we care and support the site. No one said we need anything in return.
That shows you really care. Just sayin'

Then again, your donating. That kind of implies that your giving money to a cause you support with nothing in return.

Close enough to a donation button, now if they would only add USD to the accepted currency we would all be set.

Biggest issue, not accepting USD. Second thing, it says subscriptions, so it implies that we would get something in return.
There is no need for anything in return. If you support LG and care about the site, why would you need anything in return for DONATING to the site? Donations dont mean buying stuff.
Donations =/= buying stuff.
If you want something in return for your money, then go to a store, or spend it on gaia or other site shit, donate just for knowing that you made LG run smoother, not because you think you should be compensated for helping.Voted Hottest Male Member

Wow, good to know you read the posts in the thread.
How about not. Donating shouldnt get you anything special just because you have a few extra bucks in your paypal. If you donate, you should get a title, or a new color. I hate to say it, but GG has a good idea on this one. You donate, dont relaly get anything special but a few perks.
A VIP option means you access to things normal members that earned special privledges dont. and that is not right because others had trk for it, and 2, you can leak it to the other myriads of other sites on the net that look to 1-up LG.Voted Hottest Male Member

Maybe because you shouldnt get anything for donating. All you should get is a small gesture, like i already said, and nothing else but knowing that you helped LG. That should be all there needs to be. There is no need for something super special. If you want something special, then earn it, and donating is not what I mean.

well i guess that's is your prospective but to other people have their own opinion, therefore you cant argue who is right or not then why keep arguing?

because its a something that could be put into place and alter LG. on LG1.0 we sold UG memberships and i think VIP for a short time, and that is how everything got leaked to other sites.
If you want something special for donating (which you should look up donating if thats the case), you should only get something small. Not access to a whole load of shit that is LG exclusive or anything like that.
and i can argue anything i want, that is my right.Voted Hottest Male Member

i never said getting V.I.P means getting a shit load of hack did I?
also, you can argue about something but don't get the respect back form who your arguing then is pointless

If you arent proposing they should get hacks then what are you proposing they should get?
and i dont care if i dont get the respect of the person im arguing with. i argue to prove a point not make friends. i might be wrong, i might be right, but i dont argue to make it on people's "respect list." Respect doesnt dictate arguments, it garners the complete opposite actually.Voted Hottest Male Member

they should get hack that a V.I.P can get, that is up to what the mod decide if it's good to release or not
and as in respect i mean the person your arguing with, agreed with you but if that is not happening then is just a waste time trying.

And that hack would get leaked to anohter site so fast its not even funny. And that s why getting hacks or something super-special is a bad idea. We want LG to hold its hacks and programs dear, especially the ones that still work really well, and letting a person that has 5 posts but donates a little money get them is what fucked up LG in the past, and doing it again is just asking for trouble.
And no arguement is a waste of time, i promise that, its all a learning experience.Voted Hottest Male Member
