It’s not the Pokémon MMO we had hoped for, nor is it the Pokémon Stadium follow up that we’ve been waiting on– but it’s probably the next best thing. What is “it,” you ask? “It” is Pokkén Tournament, a 3D fighting game featuring the lovable creatures of the Pokémon realm. The game, which is set to hit Japanese arcades in 2015, is a collaborative effort between the folks at Nintendo and Bandai Namco.

That's... interesting. I want to say unlike Nintendo. At least unexpected.

I doubt it will come to America. BUT since they did advertise it internationally (presumably; maybe it just got international attention), they may make English ports in a year or two.

If there were any reason we wouldn't get this particular game, it is probably because the first hurdle to jump would be how arcades aren't nearly as popular in America as they are in Japan. The investment likely wouldn't pay for itself. People who want this game want to play it at home, not go out and pay a few quarters every time they want to play it.
But it may exist in official Nintendo stores, or in arcades fancy enough to import it.

True, true. I still want a console port.
Yeah, arcades are still around and they keep up graphic-wise with modern standards or at least get close. They are a big deal in other countries so there are some great games out there. The only place you see decent ones in the US are in like Dave & Buster's and such.
