If you are a programmer for this site currently or in the past, I need your help, this idea could possibly revive LG to the glory it used to hold.
My idea is not an easy one to bring to fruition, but it's a worthy task.
The Task:
Cracking a kernal for the current gen gaming systems.
If you are able to do this, LogicalGamers will be the ONLY site on the entire internet (to the best of my knowledge) with it. Programmers by themselves could very well revive this site through this and I'm asking for your help in doing this.

I'll ask around with some of my programmer friends, I very much doubt it but I will see if they can help at all.

All they need to have is experience with decoding a kernal. The current gen systems apparently have a very heavily encoded one compared to last gen, but they've been out for years now and it's only a matter of time before people figure it out and if we can get the jump on that, people will come here since it's already done. Getting through the layers will be the hard part.

As far as I know, not yet. But that's just for linux. If they have, then we're fucked and miss out on hundreds of programs for the site and thousands of members. But if we can get a kernal, it can mean the opposite.
Edit: Scratch that, but if we can adapt it for windows and IOs, we might still be able to cash in on it.

Which Next Gen systems are you thinking of? I think the Ps4 already has something. The WiiU already has a kernel exploit and I know people from the 3DS hacking community are planning to jump on the Switch. The PS3 already has custom firmware, but I guess that's last gen.
The Vita just got Henkaku exploits about 4 or 5 months back but there is still a lot more needed in the community. It's a niche enough community that there aren't a ton of programmers for it but a decent amount of people want updates for it. Find a way to magically play 3.63 games on Henkaku 3.60 and that'd be something to talk about. I don't think it's possible though tbh. I know the NAND has already been dumped and I think it's being dumped again for some unknown reason.
I think the only one that doesn't have something is the Xbox One? Though I don't follow that community at all so idk.
All hail kitty pig.

I'm not going to pretend I know what I'm talking about but "hacking" the Switch would make more sense as it's the new thing as oppose to the XBone and PS4 which have been out for quite some time.

We shouldn't focus on the same method of exploiting systems. Instead we should be looking for other vulnerabilities to these systems.
There's nothing ideal about being real, there's so many flaws to cover and conceal.

In all fairness I think our first priority should be getting rid of the introductions spam bot thing before we focus on any projects as it's a nightmare trying to find new posts on here as it is right now. Would it just be the admins that could resolve it or would any of the moderators be about to do anything? Perhaps an IP ban would be a temporary solution. Or maybe some kind of blacklist based on a posts content.
