Just watched the 1st episode of season 4. I like the direction so far. I like Overlord for the pure power fantasy, it does it in a very measured way that is sill interesting. He's constrained by having to act several different parts and can't just always blow up all his problems even if he's never really in danger. While there is al to of "base building" the pace a lot faster than Slime and the social interactions are much more interesting.

Log Horizon was the other iskeai than handled this well by having the players be super smart but facing serious threats and supply shortages.
