Struggling to find anything good this season.
Watched some stuff from the last couple season WorldEnd which was pretty good.
Started The Master of Ragnarok which is fine.
How not to Summon a Demonlord seems stupid.
Going to try Cells at Work and the latest SAO spin off thing.
Holes of Tokyo looks interesting too.

I know that feel, last year I had so much to choose from as I basically hadn't watched anything and now it's hard work finding anything. I imagine there are tonnes of shows I'd love, it's just finding them. I did see that the Castlevania anime is getting a second season in a month or so which will be cool as the first season was kind of like my gateway drug last year.
I just had a look at WorldEnd, it looks kind of interesting. I may give it a watch. I've also heard good things about Cells at work and the new sword art spin off so I look forward to hearing what you have to say about them.
I'm not familiar with the others you mentioned though but I'll keep my eye out.

So I'me three eps in on SAO spin off. It feels good. SAO generally feels good. Like original isn't better than any other solid harem anime, it down plays that aspect which is probably what makes it work a bit better. It's never been a masterpiece, but it is good. This new one is nice in that you have a female lead, but it's kind of reskinned Sinnon? The author of SAO complains about the fact SAO is a harem and about how he writes female characters and constantly tries to address that in each new female cast member, though he never gets better at it. This feel like his standard female character, maybe it gets better or goes somewhere interesting(please don't let there be more rape attempts in this one, it was bad writing the first two time).
Update: So it does get better, which is cool. The fact everything is always a death game gets a bit old, but that's fine. The "twist" issuer telegraphed, it's satisfying when unveiled though. Not bad over all. 9/10

I just got through WorldEnd. I wouldn't say it was anything special but I did enjoy it. I think I preferred the more casual stuff happening at the "warehouse" rather than the serious stuff on the ground.
Not sure what I'm going to jump into something else straight away or take a break but I'll probably either watch Franx next or try my hand at watching Konosuba subbed. Not sure how far I'd get with that but it doesn't look like there's going to be a dub any time soon and I've heard so many good things.
I probably won't get around to watching SAO:alt until next year when they release a dub but I'm happy to hear that it's better and I look forward to watching.

Konosuba is great so I recommend it.
I started Holmes of Kyoto, it's fine for a light romance thing.
How Not to Summon a Daemon Lord is interesting. Not gold or anything.
Overlord and Hero are both running so that's solid.
I think Attack on Titan has come back, but I'm just not sure if I care any more.

I ended up watching Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid and No Game no life: Zero. Both of which are pretty good. I'm still working my way through Dragon maid. It's nice to watch something that isn't so serious every once in a while. It reminds me a bit of Aggretsuko.
I'm still planning on watching Konosuba pretty soon though so don't worry about that
I'm also watching Hero aca weekly, I'm really not a fan of watching things weekly but I caved in and watch the first half and I'm too weak willed to wait till the second half finishes. I don't plan on making the same mistake with Overlord though so I'll probably be watching that in a few months. Same with Steins Gate.
I'll probably watch AoT but I'm less interested after the second season. There also talk of One punch S2 happening pretty soon which I'm looking forward to.

I ended up watched it on 9anime. Here the link to the dubbed version. I have no doubt the subbed one is there somewhere too if you don't mind shady streaming sites
https://bit.ly/2BfJwzC
The site looks nice enough but it's riddled with ads so beware. If you're looking to watch it legitimately then unfortunately I'm not sure where you'd find it.

The beginning could use a little bit better framing/setup. The pace to start is also a little slow cause you're just lost for a bit. It's a cool movie though and the concepts and themes are nice.
It's reminded me how much I love No Game No Life. It was my first cosplay. I hope we get more soon and that it doesn't just be one of those that fades away.

I don't know if it's intentional or not but after watching that it makes me believe that Tet in some way had the power to make Shiro & Sora in Riku & Schwi's image guiding them behind the scenes of there life up to the point they get to the other world/reality.
I'm probably overthinking it and they're just so similar because they wanted the movie to feel similar but I wouldn't be surprised if later on (if they continue it) we find out that that was the case.

I'm pretty sure it's just reincarnation. They died and were born in another world some many years later. Let recognized them there and pull them back to their original world so they could play their game again with him. I'm more inclined to believe this is not their first go around. I would think they've probably been reincarnated a bunch and Get bring them back to their original world every time. I also really liked Tet's statement about having not won once and then it later being revealed that it was him and Riku having a draw in the last moment.
I'm assuming a few things relating to Tet, granted he literally say "Let's keep this game going." I assume that it Tet's ultimate objective, he doesn't want to lose and he doesn't want to win. He want "The Game" between him and Riku to go on forever because it's fun. Riku is good and does unexpected things. Let is the stronger player, but Riku paired to Schwi make for an interesting games. Plus, Riku & Schwi are the only two people in the world that were "worshipping" Set and belief is supper important to Japanese deity mythology. Let literally exists and wins because Riku believes that hard enough. I'm pretty sure that's part of why Tet "answers" Riku's prayer in the end.

Haha, fair enough. When the first two started with "L,G" I put my detective hat on.
I've now watched both seasons of Konosuba and I'm just starting to watch Made in Abyss. I also rewatched Your Name last night and it's just as good as it was the first time.

I've watched so much since I last posted on here but looking back over my watch list I really enjoyed Code Geass, Dororo, Goblin Slayer, Rascal does not dream of bunny girl senpai, ReLife and The King's Avatar.
I may of watched some of those before LG went down though so I may have mentioned them previously in the thread.
I'm looking forward to watching Dr Stone, Kanata no Astra and Cop craft when there's a few more episodes out to binge.

A lot of those are really good.
Dr. Stone looks like such garbage to me. I hope I'm wrong though.
Is it wrong to pick up girls in a dungeon just started its new season and it's ok. Demon Slayer Kimetsu is pretty good. If it's for my daughter I'd even defeat the demon lord is great too. Rise of the Shield Hero was super good and ran super long.

Haha, it does look ridiculous but that's why I'm exited for it haha. I'm looking forward to DanMachi too. I tried watching the movie a few weeks about but the only copy of it I could find was a fansubbed version and the translations were really bad so I gave up.
Demon slayer is on my list, my friend said it was good too so I'll probably get round to it when the season finishes up. Can't say I've heard of If it's for my daughter but if it's any good I'll check it out.
I really enjoyed Shield Hero too, from what I had read only it seemed like a pretty generic Isekai but I liked the things it changed up. And I like that the other 3 heroes are blatant rip offs of the usual Isekai hero stereotypes.

I just finished watching Land of the Lustrous. It's been on my watchlist for quite some time but I was put off watching it because of the art style. I believe it's entirely CG. It was really good though and I got hooked almost instantly. I have a weakness anime that use really abstract world building. My only annoyance with it was that I assumed it was one of those self contained shows that wrap up after the first season but that doesn't seem to be the case so I have so many questions.
I also recently watched the King's Avatar movie which is a prequel to the main series taking place quite some years before the first season giving more depth in to how Ye Xiu got to be where is at the start of the show. If you've watched the anime or not I think this is a good watch for anyone who likes eSports.

Currently waiting for 'Cautious Hero: The Hero is Overpowered but Overly Cautious' next episode.
Pretty fun to watch. I'm also a big fan of Overlord. I've gone ahead of the anime and proceeded to read the Virtual Novels.

I'm looking forward to watching this one and "Ascendance of a book worm", maybe "make my abilities average" as well but I'm waiting till the season is complete before watching them. I'm currently watching season 1 of Jojo. Not sure how I feel about it really but it's okay. I more just want to understand the references than anything else.

my cousin has always loved anime and has been giving me some good suggestions and reminding me of some stuff we watched as kids. i liked Spriggun a lot and also The Fist of The North Star movie (that shit was bad ass) and we used to watch this show called Great Teacher Onizuka, i love samurai champloo too, i think the newest anime i was watching was one punch man or parasite, both were good

I can't say I've watched many of those. The only ones I have are Parasyte and One punch. Parasyte happens to be one of my favourites. I really love Shinichi's journey and how he changes without really being aware of it.
I've started watching Ascendance of a bookworm and I quite like it. There's not any real action or fighting in it though so I doubt it's for everyone. I also gave up on watching Jojo after about 7 episodes.

I'll be totally honest, I don't keep up with Anime these days like I used to.
It's so hard to find something that genuinely keeps my interest. I tried SAO, Attack on Titan, Space Dandy (ludicrous considering I'm passionately in love with Shinichiro Watanabe, and sci-fi anime), I just can't get into them anymore.
The expressions are overly hyped, the stories are scattered, the episodes feel rushed and the artwork is too cliche' and unoriginal.
So I find myself going back to my old favorites; Bebop, Lupin III, Big O, Serial Experiments Lain, GITS, FLCL, Wolfs Rain, etc.
However, I did find one I'm very interested in checking out really soon called Michiko & Hatchin. The artwork looks pretty great and the story sounds pretty good.

I really enjoyed Steins;gate and steins;gate zero. My only problem with them is that for whatever reason I can't rewatch them like I can with most anime. The first time I watched in I was completely engrossed however when I tried rewatching it I lost interest after a few episodes which was a real shame as I have such fond memories of it. I may have to give it another try in the future. Especially the original. I was so happy when I heard about Steins;gate zero as I watched the original a few years after it came out and assumed that it was completely concluded.
I also watched it back when I couldn't watch subbed anime and have to say that I consider the dub to be incredible. I couldn't imagine another person voicing Okabe. It's captured so perfectly in my opinion.
Edit: Unrelated but I'm currently half way through the new Code Geass movie. I started it last night and I don't remember all that much of how the second season ended so I'm very much looking forward to rewatching that some point soon. I'm also now up to date with Ascendance of a bookworm, "The hero is strong but overly cautious" and one punch S2. All of which I enjoyed.Last edited by Cyanoxide; 09 Dec. 2019 at 05:47pm.

Finished watching Fire force yesterday. I really enjoyed it however I did find it quite strange as I wasn't really able to binge through it like I typically do with shows. Instead I ended up watching an episode every couple of days for the past month or so. Not really sure why though. The only other thing I've been watching recently is Hero Acca, I really enjoyed the first half of this season but it's slowed down for the second half and I'm not feeling it as much.
Not sure what I'm going to watch next, probably one of the new shows that came out this season. Possibly IDnvaded, Somali and the Forest Spirit, Infinite Dendrogram or Darwin's game. I'll let you guys know if what I end up watching is any good.
I'm also probably going to watch Promare or Weathering with you over the weekend.

Darwin's Game is a lot like Btoom but it's definitely interesting enough.
I would watch Somali and the Forest Spirit forever. Forever. So chill. It reminds me of Magnus' Bride and Kino's Journey.
InSpectre is pretty interesting if you like yokai scifi stuff.
Tower of God looks interesting but hasn't dropped yet. Crunchyroll Originals are on point this season. I see a lot of stuff to like.
LogHorizon is supposed to be coming back. I like it a lot as an isekia. I felt like it got ignored for SAO but handled the concept in a much more thought out way.
I keep meaning to watch Weathering with you.

So after my last message I managed to get myself caught up on Somali and the forest spirit and I'm definitely sold on it, I can't wait for the last three episodes and hopefully more in the future. I love this kind of show.
I'm not familiar with Kino's journey but I can definitely see the similarities with Magus bride which I also really enjoyed. It also kind of reminded me of the early episodes of shield hero and oddly enough the towns and cities all looked like they came from PS1 rpgs like Legend of the dragoon or Jade cocoon which I can really appreciate.
I had no idea Log Horizon was getting continued so if that's the case I'm super excited. I believe it was the first thing I watched after getting hooked by SAO. Konosuba is great too but I'm not the biggest fan of comedy shows. That's not to say it wasn't a good watch though. Have you watched Isekai quartet? It's got the cast of a hand full of isekai shows including Konosuba. Not a very serious show but it's cool to see how the different characters would interact with each other.
