There is no way.
Also, so this hipster chick I know, who was in denial about being a hipster for the longest time, said this to me. We were talking about something that happened a long time ago, and she said verbatim, and I quote, "That was before I became ironic."
She literally said that. My jaw dropped. Irrefutable evidence of hipster. She just up and said it. Like it was no big deal. Didn't even realize she said it until I pointed it out.
My favorite hipster moment.
I also have this dude on my Facebook who is a hipster gold mine. Every status is about how his favorite underground novella of the moment is so relevant to his obscure politically philosophies. Oh and how "the mainstream" is full of dumb sheeple.
WAKE UP SHEEPLE.
Please wake up. D:

Because people have very specific tastes.
For example: Post-dubstep
It's very highest root is:
House music (4 to the floor beats, everything else is basically fair game.)
-Add dub influences (usually in the vocals and harmonies, and occasionally chord structure)
It's now Garage.
"But I want something faster, with low-passed basslines, and I want it to be super repetitive!"
You got Speed Garage.
"I want staccato beats, and lots of guest vocalists"
You got 2-step Garage.
"That's closer, but now I want modulated bass, with lots of syncopation, with some downtempo influences"
You got dubstep.
"Get rid of the modulated bass, make it airy, and add some off-tempo beats in there to shove shit around"
You have post-dubstep.
Post-dubstep is easier to say than House music with dub influences, low-passed basslines, staccato beats, downtempo influences, syncopation, off-tempo beats, with an airy feel.

My high school was full of hipsters and they freaked me out every day...the sad thing is I got castes out early on as a "nerd/geek" because after freshman year I helped the web teacher. After that I was forced to "hang out" with them

They're only ironically mainstream because of how underground they really are.
