At the very least I plan on four years of college. If I can make the money, I would love to stay in college for longer, they have so many great courses that can teach you so much. Right now I really want to learn Linear Algebra and Machine Learning, but any free online courses don't start until march, and I can't find any courses at colleges near me.

Linear Algebra sucks, btw. Hate, hate, hate it. If you want into mathematics, I'd suggest calculus. Easily the most fun branch of math.

You generally develop a concept about 2 or 3 dimensional mathematics, then just change the dimensions. When working with larger matrices, you are essentially doing math in dimensions the human mind can't fathom. You can just know that the math works, which - at least for me - isn't enough.

Coursera are the courses that don't start until March, haha. I do use Coursera though, great website.

Just take some online, most of them are extremely good. My programming class at school just goes based on an online textbook, the teacher doesn't even do anything lol.

Bachelor's in Business is worthless, well just about anything is worthless. Tech degrees seem to do ok if you are top of the class. It's kind of stupid. You almost need a master's at this point. Placement out of college is pretty horrid. Can't even parley internships into jobs since there are so few paid ones. I'm considering going for a law degree as well.

Get a Bachelor's first and then decide.
In fact, since you seem unsure of a major, I'd say to get an Associate's degree, which is just the 2 years of gen eds required for a Bachelor's, and in those 2 years decide what you want to do. Take some psychology classes as a part of your gen ed credit (which will transfer to your Bachelor's/major credit if you choose to do Psychology, and count towards your gen ed if you choose not to). After taking those classes, you should have a better understanding of if it's something you'd be interested in.

Just remember that psychology splits into a ton of different fields that are very different. There is clinical, where you sit in a room and talk to people about their problems. And experimental, where you do research on people and pretty much revolve everything about statistics and science. They are the main two. Then there are focuses like Social, which is studies of how the presence of other humans changes human behavior. Cognitive, which is the study of how our minds think. etc., etc. The focuses are things you won't really have trry about until after you get your Bachelors and go for the PhD. You'll probably take some classes on them in your Bachelor's, but it's more of a "well-rounded" kinda introductory class. When you get to Master's/PhD, you'll take mostly classes only about that one subject. They're good to know about so you'll know if there is a field of psych you'd be interested in.

I picked Cognitive Experimental.

If you are more into the "helping people personally" aspect, clinical/addiction-studies.

Man, I wish I could have some of my own servers. I was planning on buying three fairly old servers on Craigslist for like $30 a piece and then a cheap Cisco network switch and then hosting websites for people or something like that to earn some money, but then my parents said no because of electricity bills and stuff :/ sucks. It would have been awesome to run my own servers.

Running your own server is more than server hardware. You need a dedicated IP from your ISP, and a router that can forward requests appropriately. Not all ISPs or routers offer that, unfortunately.

You could always just hook up any old computer, you know. Servers don't have to be specially designed, especially if you're only using it personal use or a few others' accounts. Just install Apache on an old Windows machine. If you want to be super efficient, override Windows some with Linux installation first. But I am personally fond of Apache on Windows, at least for a small operation. For a large server, Windows probably isn't the most secure or memory-efficient thing to be using. For small, I find it way easier and faster to set up. But then again, I've always done it so many times to know how to do it, whereas I recall it being a pain in the ass the first few times.
Either way, who doesn't have an old junk computer laying around? You don't need to buy a a new one, especially when you don't really know what you're doing. Test it out with the other computer to make sure that A) your ISP supports it, B) your router supports it, C) you know how, and D) it ends up being everything you want it to be.

I've considered turning this computer into a server whenever I get my new laptop next year. It's too powerful to just go to waste, and do you know how awesome it would be if I could just download to my hard drive and BAM it's automatically on my website? Fuck FTP.
