I had tried when I was younger, just screwing around with RPG creators and stuff. Now I actually am really getting into it, I have 3ds Max 2013 and UDK and stuff, and I'm trying to figure out how the heck to do this haha. Anyone ever tried before, or have some tips? Right now I'm just going by random YouTube tutorials, kind of learning as I go.

Anyone here ever worked on video games?

Tutorials or tips for what?
I made an RPG engine. So there was this thing RPGs do, so then I programmed a thing that does it.
IDK what tips you are expecting. You want your game to do something, then put it in your game.
If you don't know how, don't make a game.
RPG Maker does not count as making a game.

Lol I was asking on tips for engines and the like. In was going to just use Unreal, because of its flexibility with C++,/ but they only release the code to professional game developers. So for now I'm stuck with UDK, a dumb less-coding version of it. And I don't know. Guides on rigging, advanced 3d modelling, anything really.

Use Source. The SDK is open.

I'm pretty sure it's C++. If by "soon" you mean probably 3 years, then sure, soon. Soon(tm), Valve Time.
