Either try cleaning dust and residue off the connectors. -causes poor connection And make sure everything is inserted correctly into it. Also you can pull the connectors out and firmly put them back in that can sometimes fix the problem. dunno if it'll help or not.

Try daisy chaining. Or your audio cable might be faulty.

Possibilities:
1. Something is wrong with the mixamp
2. It sounds like you have a faulty mic, which happens, but you're looking for a reasoning that it's a poor quality product.
Does your Carcharias make a slight buzzing sound?
Then, If so Xbox will detect it as if it was background noise and cut the audio.
Try replugging the wires and make sure that they are in their correct ports.
Maybe on your Xbox controller, the microphone port its damaged. Try using the Mic on another controller.Last edited by Trinket; 22 Sep. 2012 at 06:30pm.

Your problem: you can't talk to people on xbox
My solution: Get a completely different mic that's less confusing > plug it into controller > talk
now prize

So you don't have the audio cord that came with the a40's? i got the same headset bro they the bomb. try unplugging the mic and changing the cords around. or, try the pc cords. doubt it's faulty wiring mine act up sometimes too.
edit: read this wrong, thought you had the a40s. either way try dat shitLast edited by 2pac; 23 Sep. 2012 at 12:10am.
