So. I would have put this in the PC section, but its missing.
So. It shall be here.
Does anybody know where to find one of these fans for an asus motherboard? Got a badass desktop from my boss, and well...the motherboards fan doesnt work. Replaced it with a heatsink + thermal compound for now, But goddamn its hot.
so...Probablly going to be switching back to a direct replacement of what was there. Here is a picture I took + MS paint.

How big is the case? Micro ATX or ATX? If you're going to get a new one why not upgrade? :> Also, what temp is it at normally with the temporary heatsync? Trying to decide how powerful to go here.

With the heatsink on it...Around 140ºf to the touch, Though it does not seem to suffer from any operational flaws.
ATX, And, I have considered that, but bah, I only wanted the same one since it looked cool.
Personally I may downgrade it depending on if its over 25db ./leaves comp on at night and doesnt like loud fans
The case itself is ATX.
Without the heatsink, No clue how hot it was, But im certain it was preeeeety damn hot since it was causing performance problems for him, partly why he gave away the desktop.Gaiaonline Exploit Log:

The first time I read that I panicked at the fact your CPU was at 140 and you touched it. Then I noticed it was in Fahrenheit lol.
I'd have to say go with this one. One of my friends uses it without a problem, I think they're on an i7. It will take up some room in your case, but it's both silent and cools well.
It's weird that your CPU is so hot tho. Mine (AMD Phenom x4 Black edition) stays at around 25c with the stock cooler. You might wanna try switching thermal compounds as well. But wait until after you get the cooler. Usually they come with some really good thermal compound.
