Well i'm looking to buy a new guitar and amp because my old one sucks ass
my budget is currently $700-1000 bucks.
I have been reading reviews on the ibanez but most say the stock pick ups suck and need to be changed to EMG's. I was interested in the RG series but so many models idk which is best.
I looked at the Schecter guitars which comes with built in EMG's mostly i was looking at the schecter damien elite.
However i looked at the Jackson dinky DK2m and it looked pretty nice and came with decent pick ups
For the amp i was thinking of choosing a line 6 spider 3 or 4 75w amp which comes with effects
and was also interested in purchasing a line 6 pod plus which comes with more effects..
Overall I'm confused on what to get and what's good to spend on I was hoping musicians here would know what's good shit and what sucks
Mainly I'm looking to play metallica, megadeth, strokes, asking alexandria, neo-classical, deathcore, heavy metal, black metal type of shit..... so can any of you help me out? haha sorry for the syntax too lazy to perfect my grammar.moteTroll:

The guitar I have Is a Gibson SG classic (custom colored) $700.00+ and I also have a Gibson Les paul (traditional) $1,800.00+ also custom colored.
For an amp, I HIGHLY recommend a Line 6 Spider IV 75 75W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp - Around 300 bucks.

Can you play those things are are you trying to learn those thing because what you should pick to learn them and what you should buy to preform hem are different in a sense.
You ultimate need to go to a music store and lay all the guitar there and see what feels best in your hand. Stay in your price range with what you try out. Then when you find one that feels right, try all the amps. Repeat the process for several weeks and then buy. Go to multiple stores. Pay attention to sound. If you can swing it have about $25 buck left at the end and have the guitar set up by a pro. If you're learning or just want a quick way to increase speed you can get your action lowered, if you're an intermediate player or pro you should have the action adjusted to allow you to do sweep and arpeggios, typically this means having it height but it helps with theses methods of playing. Of course if you're not going to use a standard .009 gauge you need to have the guitar set up for that. Make sure they check the intonation as well.
Don't let brand influence you. I've heard people get the same sound out of knock of cheap pieces of plywood as $3000 Les Pauls. Slash's signature Les Paul on Appetite isn't even a real Gibson, its a replica made by some dude(a master guitar maker but you get the point).
Schrecter has some cool guitar I looked at the Blackjacks myself when they came out.
You could look at BC Rich as well if you like Jackson and Ibenz.
Also how a guitar look doesn't matter. Pick what is good in your hand. Sound is important and you should look up how the wood affects tone but not worry about pick ups cause you can change those if you have to(again, get a pro).
I'd like to have an SG and an Explorer. This dude I worked for has the SG Les Paul model which existed for one year and is crazy rare and sound amazing.
I have a 1978 Les Paul, a 1961 Gretsch Anniversary, 2002 Fender strat, a Gibson 1989 Flying V, a Starcaster(Chinese strat) a Boss Me-70 multi effect., a EVH signature Phaser, and 1980s Peavy Studio Chorus 212 solid state amp.
You're from a middle class family and live in the suburbs.
Kain you're most likely on the lower middle class or just live in a heavily urban area.
Guitar and equipment choices tell me a ton about people. Its pretty funny.

Sorry C0ff1n, but you are incorrect. I live in a fairly upscale (upper-middle class) area.
I just really liked the tone of that guitar, and the amp came with it.
Disco is neat.

Its not a 100% accurate method. I wasn't sure if I'd get you right because I know how long you've been playing. Because of personal preference, once player is good enough to make those kind of calls they screw up the system. But from a standard "I just started playing or guitar is not something I do that much" I'm usually correct 95% of the time.

Pisses me off when I see them on youtube failing at some cover with it and me thinking "God I could make that son a bitch scream".
I honestly don't feel good enough to play my Les Paul most of the time I don't know how you have the audacity to go for Vai's ax if you can't cover a Vai song.
