You'd lose the last D of Dadgad. You'd be DADGA. You'd be ok though, I think.
Since you're based off the D, G, & B strings, I feel Dadgad would work really well. You could play the whole thing an octave lower and you could substitute strings and pretty much any thing you play will be in key.
Before you change any thing though, how does this sound?
