Go for something standard. I'd imagine if you need a computer at all the department has what you need posted somewhere on their page.

Seeing as how I get enough credits already to graduate in 3 years and how I'm pretty much taking 2 courses each summer, that doesn't seem to be too brutal.

Though it's the research that'll probably be annoying. Possibly modeling proteins will be needed? But i don't know.
