Do "circuits"
lift for 45 seconds straight. Doing slow lifts. Then do push ups for 45 seconds slowly. Then move to the next machine and continue. Do it 3 times a week. After the first week i guarantee you will be twice the size. The first time will hurt like hell if you do it right, And you should sweat a lot.

I just have my basic routine as you said. I train at home + has weight training class at school
