Getting married in the next few months. Bad part? Haven't told my parents yet. In need of funny/non-awkward ways of telling them. BTW: They are over-controlling, rage when they don't get their way, and still treat me like a 10-year old. They know it's going to happen sooner or later. They failed their last daughter, and don't want me to really want to let me go.

You want them to approve get dude to ask permission then set up proposal with them, then act surprised when it happens. Other option is get knocked up,the kind of people your dad seems to be usually demand shot gun weddings.

My best suggestion would be to not get married. You're too young and if people won't approve it will only make the challenge that is marriage that much harder.
