It is MUCH more realistic to believe that the entire universe was created by an invisible being that has been around since forever than to believe it all happened because of a chemical reaction or whatever.
My teacher is SO dumb D:
He's like, "it's so dumb to believe the earth is that old. It's obvious God made it. I mean, hello! Look at how intricate everything is! That couldn't have been random! and the earth couldn't have just blown into existence! I mean, even if the big bang did happen, where did those chemicals to make it come from?!
Me: "Question.. where did God come from? Why is it more difficult to believe a few chemicals, very simple chemicals, were around forever rather than some "extremely intricate" being being around forever? Your argument seems a little... contradicting."
Teacher: "Are you even a christian?"
Interesting. No answer.
Stupid ass is stupid.
He also had no answer to my "Why does it say Jesus will come back before their [the disciples] generation has passed and yet they've been dead for about 2000 years?"
Urfg. Christians.

Honestly, get your idiotic teacher to read the Scopes Trial.
They'll feel pretty stupid afterwards.

I agree with your teacher. Everything is way too intricate to be random. Thank God evolution is the exact opposite of random.

ya know, you shouldn't judge a whole group of people based on one of its members. i'll admit, some christians are idiots and make others look like idiots with the stupidity they spit out, but if you have a conversation with a real christian who knows what they are talking about, you would find it very interesting what they have to say.i used to think it was easier to just believe in everything else except for Christianity also.

also as for the "Why does it say Jesus will come back before their [the disciples] generation has passed and yet they've been dead for about 2000 years?"
ever heard of easter? read the bible and you would know jesus rose from the dead 3 days later. all of his disciples were still alive.

no no no, he did ascend to heaven at this time. and i have read this many times. i attend church frequently.
as for that whole "no christian can change the bible" i wasn't refering to that, i was saying that some people who say they are christians don't know the bible very well thus making false or seemingly false statements about its passages.

and before that last statement i made starts a wildfire of flaming, i'll be the first to admit im not the perfect christian and don't know nearly enough like i should know. but if you want to find out the real truth, then do like a said. talk to a preacher or high up member of the church. they may not change your mind about anything but atleast they can prove their points and im sure he wouldn't mis quote things like i probably would on accident.

or you could try asking them about your so called "oopsies" thats the only legit argument anyone ever has to give against the bible and like i said i was once just like you but i actually sat down and gave the preacher at my church a chance to explain the parts of the bible that appeared to be contradictions to me and it does make since. your just too lazy to try. thats the truth whether you admit it or not.

Stfu Frostbite, i'm really getting tired of this whole "Christians are retards." thing.
That's a whole religion, and you're bashing on it. It's not like i'm in here "Oh, gays are just confused people who can be cured." Again, hating on a whole thing there. Just don't fucking do it.
not christian.

Ok, let me say this in a different way.
I spend: 6 hours at church on sundays. 1.5 hours in Bible class 4 days a week. 2 hours on wednesday night youth.
That's about 14 hours of Bible studying a week. Multiply that by the weeks of school + summer church and stuff. Multiply that by the years I've been in school grades 1-9.
That's a shitload of Bible study. Anytime I bring up the contradictions to a "higher learned" bible studied person (even though I've probably read it more than them), they completely ignore it, say it was a mis-translation, change the subject, or say "that's just a metaphor."
All bullshit.
I'm not lazy, I've read the Bible all the way through multiple times. Each time noticing more and more BS.
EDIT: Fluxo - you can say a religion is BS - everyone does. Because, if you believe in one religion, then all the others are BS to you. And trust me, if you said that, I wouldn't be offended. Why? Because there's more evidence against that theory than for it.Last edited by Frostbite; 18 Apr. 2010 at 06:04am. Reason: spleling

Yeah, but you're straight up bashing it. Call it BS for as long as you want, but stop bashing.
AND YET AGAIN, i'm not saying anything against homosexuality. What hole you put it in is your business. It was just an example.
