It's quite obvious that EasyCap isn't too practical for recording machinima's and Bungie Pro's rendering is nice but quite pricy. Are there any good capture cards (USB or PCI) out there that are less than $100 and have decent quality?

Under $100.
Dazzle has some blurry quality when I looked up quality tests for DVD Recorder Plus. I saw Hauppauge went at $180.

EasyCap, can look ALMOST as good. If your setting it up right. Try using sony vegas 9, pinnacle studio, or something in that order.
Edit:
This is probably the closet to "Machinima quality" the easycap will get. It looks good to me.

Well easycap has some 'okay' video quality, but it's the audio that really sucks.

Easy Cap with PowerDirector9 is Higher to Decent. Yes sounds is terrible you can always record it seperatly.
