I'm pretty sure they laid off the entire dev team who made it recently.
I'm not sure why Gaia keeps trying to make games that have nothing to do with their website at all. If the games were any good I could maybe understand, but most of them are just thrown together with Flash game engines/APIs, and incorporate nothing from Gaia into it (such as avatars, the world, etc).

That's extremely true, because these stupid Yu-Gi-Oh wannabe characters had no connection to Gaia, were not interesting, and only made my laptop be run slower.
I can understand Zomg, because it made quite a big effort, but HOC was absolutely ridiculous.

Haha, me too. I almost chocked on my food from laughing. I was eating spicy wings when I did it.

I played it once, and really I was unimpressed. I wonder how long it will take them to figure out that people might actually like their games if they weren't so irrelevant to the Gaia world.

I played it once or twice, I found the whole game to be just...boring.
It's like spending time watching grass grow, but worse.
You have to click like 5-10 times each round of a fight.
It's not interesting in the slightest.
Sure the art is pretty nice, but the game play is horrific.
Only reason I'd ever play it is if I wanted to make 50k gold a day through the 1 Essence : 10 Gold convert grant.
But that would be too much effort, grinding and plain boringness.

I like it. The 50k a day is pretty easy to achieve and is a nice little bonus IMO.

Yeah, I've got to say the 50k a day is a nice trickle of gold in.
What's the best way to get essence in HoC easily and quickly?
I heard it was this 'mission 9' - but if you have a better one please share.
If I can gather a lot of essence on multiple accounts I could rack in a few hundred k a day.

You can also make 50k a day with zOMG! which is probably quicker.
150k if you're a donor.

Also you can make 100k a day on Booty Grab, which is notably quicker but very, very boring.
