So, me and my friends are devote participants in the stock market in rel lifea nd we know some tricks to the trade.
You know the item Wendigo that was originally 40k in value then spiked suddenly to 900+k? That was our doing, we used an illegal*in the real world* tactice called buy out, we bought all of the wendigo's that were available in the MP, about 10, then sold them all for a much higher price, advertised the legs that were posed in towns thus causing a demand for them.
I noticed the fairly low amount of Lawful Master's in the marketplace, so I was thinking why not do the same with it? Whuld want to join me, Ive bought 3 already.
I think the marketplace is the second best way to make gold, as it always has been before booty grab.moteOhU:

generally artificially inflating the market place is great for very short term time periods. If you want to drive up the price over a long period of time, wait until the item is not available anymore and sell it then. It worked for Complex Jacket #00000, it was sold in the shops for a few thousand and then it got very popular and taken out of the shops, and now they are worth a pretty penny the last time i checked.
So hoarding is always a great idea on gaia, because artificial inflation ends very fast.Voted Hottest Male Member

I've always wanted to do this. I've been wondering what the effect on a value of an item it would have if I made an alt, made a bunch of gold illegally through botting or something (back when it was easier to booty grab bot) and then used that gold to buy up all of an item and then get banned.
I'm not sure what gaia's policy on releasing items that were on banned accounts is. I'm assuming the value of the item would go up, considering there would be fewer of the item circulating.
Just an idea

They release a few items from time to time into the marketplace. Nothing too old or rare but they do release some few of them. Artificially decreasing quantities might mean that most of your take would be reintroduced somehow by degrees into the market.

For all the stuff that happens around here, LG itself is always remarkably unchanged. Thanks to the folks who still remembered I was once here and welcomed me back despite me being retarded.
