It's summer and I've been working on a number of things, none of them related to this. I have a few priorities before I get to Gaia stuff. That's why I've been asking for input. And that's what this thread is about.
So you guys have noticed that the hakr community is basically dead. We have a few sites that are popular right now. LG, ZZ, MP (formerly known as GG), EBU, etc.
There are about half a dozen, I guess. All of these sites have one major thing in common. The Gaia activity is dwindling. I'm not addicted to Gaia. I have 3 interests in mind.
1. Recognition. I can make some money later on if I have a fan base for my work.
2. Fun. It's boring these days.
3. Activity. I'd really love to see a new surge of activity. Wouldn't you guys?
And this brings me to my point. We haven't been bringing in any activity for a long time. Compared to a few years ago, the forums are all dead. This is clearly a result of our greed. The old saying goes "Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him to fish and he will feed himself for the rest of his life." We only followed the first part of this. We refused to give the newbs our fish. They starved. It's our fault.
The question is, what do we do about this?
I know that LG doesn't usually do reasoned response. Don't take this as an insult. It's common. I'm asking you, this time, to actually give me a thoughtful answer. If you were going to bring back the activity to Gaia, how would you do it?

I think that each site has a specific game they mostly hack. I'd say we even that out with other games for us to become more popuklar as we're just Gaia-based.

Are you talking about Gaiaonline itself? Because there are more members than ever.
If your talking about the forums, its because were in another newage of hackers, There are so many scammers now-a-days in the hacking world for gaia, its pushing away potential newcomers to the society, and killing it.

I think maybe we should have some scriptors teach the people that don't know how to script/hack, so this site can get more scriptors. I know how to use bots/flw's and stuff, but I dont know how to make them. I want to learn how to fish, in other words. I use to mess around with c++ but I understood it hardly.

I mean the way this forum and the other communities centered around game hacking have little to know Gaia related activity. We used to have WPE guides and all kinds of junk. We don't have anything but phishing on here, and with the new IP Verification option, that will be dead soon, too. If someone doesn't do something soon, this community is going to die. Gaia hacking, not LG.
I like the idea of some people teaching programming, but there's nothing to really interest total newcomers. If we just say "Hey, come learn to program and do cool shit" no one is really gonna bother diving into something as confusing as programming (to a newbie).

Well I tried to release a bunch of packs of the old stuff from LG in 07-09, But the thread was closed due to what was called "Spam"
Not like much of the old stuff works....But, Community contributions are at a minimum, Half I think is because people are finally losing the will to do anything else now, everyone who used to hack has gold now, or got bored of being scammed all the time, And didnt hack for the love of exploring servers.
So...It was prettymuch destiny, as long as this community is a gaiaonline primary, instead of an overall hacking site, its going to dwindle.

You should be able to teach yourself a language with a bit of googling. If you have someone teaching you rather than learning on your own, I think you're much more at risk to smack into a wall. As in, writers block for programmers. I would recommend finding some good tutorials and maybe teaching people to teach themselves. The problem we usually run into is that people who barely know how to program teach others who don't know at all the wrong way to do things.

I'm not talking about the site as a whole. I'm talking about the Gaia specifics. The problem is that the old members have left without leaving the newer members with anything. The newer members have been abandoned and stuck to what they know and then followed the old members' footsteps in leaving. This is a generation after a generation that was after a generation of skilled members, from the looks of things. I'm convinced a surge of activity could create a new era.

Yeah I know your talking about gaia specifics, But gaiaonline itself as a motivator isnt enough to keep a site going, those kinds of people hack, then move on and get bored. where as hackers who enjoy the art of hacking, continue to assault places that make communities like this one happy.
Im sure you can ask any hacker here, And they do not exclusively hack / exploit only gaiaonline.

Sounds like a stereotype. Sure, they don't target Gaia specifically, and everyone moves on eventually, not just hackers. The idea i'm trying to present is the idea of turning random interested persons into hackers with Gaia as their basis for creation, thus creating a pull to the place they started that will probably last a life time. I'm not talking about bringing in already existing hackers to mess with Gaia. PS, this is how i came here.
@Tutorials, there are loads of them on Google. Just pick a language and Google it. If you can't find anything I'll look around for you, but in all honesty I'd just be sending you stuff I found on Google myself.

Suppose I did stereotype abit, But I dont know anyone who cares enough about gaia to go through with that when that pre-existing care could translate into supporting gaia just as easily, or other things.
Suppose im just too pessimistic and wont see a positive scenario. Well, We can always dream, It would be nice to see the hacking community flourishing again.
