I agree with having the rectangle go behind him, also, maybe more of a bluish tint to the rectangle, since it's the color of the rest. Maybe a little more effects on the text.

If it's overused than that's the challenge! Try to give it some originality again.

I like it, but like the others have said, the rectangle would look better going behind him. And I think some lighter colouring in there somewhere would be a good contrast to the dark black and blue theme.

My bad for taking so long...
I generated a horizontal noise line group with adobe after effects and set its blending mode to multiply (i think) and gave it a blue tint. Then i duplicated the layer and Gaussian blurred it.
