Future Is The Past
Look to the night sky
Heaven can't lie
the past won't hide
in the stars so high
time can't pass on by
the truth it holds
thus the past unfolds
but never before your eyeNear Here
In arms it sears
all my fears
the voice I hear
ah, my dear
now I leer
confirm my fear
you won't see me
I'm not hereDon't
If it don't feel right then don't choose it
Call up on the phone and tell them to screw it
They don't care if you get through it
Don't just turn your head and do it.Never Friends
Every time I see,
it has to happen with me.
Love the friend
so it will end.
Bring my gain,
forever my bane,
to walk alone.
Its what 's sown.
Never will win,
love is my sin.
When it goes down,
Lord knows,
I won't be found.
Under the sun,
I always run...
...whenever they put me under the gun.Classic Style
Sittin' Watchin' Time Go By,
I Let Out A Long Sigh.
I feel Nothing,
Will I die?
I can't find, my high.
it was all just a lie.Reaching Out
Lately I been hard to reach,
been gone so long and so alone.
Waiting too long, so far gone,
watching time slip by,
getting cold, we sleep alone.
Watching shadows on the wall
wishing I was watching you,
but nothing seems to go
and still time flows.
We all have a private world were we can go to be alone.
Are you reaching out to me
like I'm reaching out to you?
No you aren't
cut the chord
close the door
turn out the light
I won't be home tonight .Let It Be
In this time of trouble Mother Mary comes to me,
whispering sweetly "Let it be."
I wake up to the sound of music,
early in the morning the sun is shinning down on me.
My spirit soars, my hear is weak and aches to be, with thee again.
Time will lend me strength and Mother walks by me.
I let Her song set this man free.
It carries me through the darkness,
never ceasing, never failing me.
So the light shines for me.So yeah .Wish You Were Here
So you think you can tell,
Heaven from Hell?
They got you to change.
Traded your day.
Threw it away.
Offed the sun,
for a cold steel hail.
Heroes...
Put to the gun.
Fell the hole?
Thought you so bold.
Alone in the night,
your bed is so cold.
So they spoke up,
and forced you to fold.
Man, I wish you were here...
Reeling from change
too fast...
Can't put it back.
So far out of range.
The station has changed.
Lost the past...
Shoved it in a sack.

"So you think you can tell,
Heaven from Hell?"
That's from a Pink Floyd song.
I like them.

They're all pretty cliche and/or boring.
The only lines I enjoy are taken from Wish You Were Here.
Try not trry so much about structure, and all those rock songs you love. Just let the writing be free and flowing.

Someone can't take criticism.
Everything up there just seems like average lines I've heard before in a hundred different places. You need to get you head out the ass of Axl Rose, etc etc.

From my above post -
"Try not trry so much about structure, and all those rock songs you love. Just let the writing be free and flowing"
I think that is constructive criticism. And I'm so sorry if I couldn't see any good in it, just bad.
I like that you love to write. But I think you're being too structured, and you're so heavily influenced by some musicians that you're forcing something that isn't natural. And the result comes out cliche and boring.
