Gonna skip one, cause I have no idea.
It really depends on what you want to do. Most people use illustrator for the heart of work, and the photoshop to flash it up a bit.
Disco is neat.

I prefer illustrator simply because you can go back and adjust every little part if you dont like how something turned out.

It depends. You could try photoshop if you're just starting out. Once you're used to it, you can move to illustrator(usually used for intermediate-pro type of works and way more easy) Both programs are waaay different though.
If you have time to devote, I'd say illustrator right off the bat and just keep practicing/reading tutsIt's ZenGen yoo.

PS would probably just be better for making things a bit flashier with effects and filters and stuff.
