I would love this feature.
If I have a notification of one or more visitor messages from the same user, I would like for it to direct me to the conversation instead of to my profile.
If I have more than one from more than one person it's fine to redirect it to my profile.
I keep posting to my profile instead of to the conversation.
Any support?

Uhm, that would require a seperate redirect to a specific part of the site based on a notification. It is hard to program stuff like that since it would have to search the databases for a specific conversation, instead of just going to a user page which has it all on there anyways.
I see no reason for this to be put in place.Voted Hottest Male Member

If you are using Vb.net with HTTP Wrappers it wouldn't be that hard considering that your profile displays the amount of visitor messages that you have. All you would have to do is grab that amount and check every x amount of minutes / seconds if that amount has increased. if it did it would grab a link to the conversation with the user and or just redirect you to your own profile page. Also you could add a feature were after a new profile message it will update the current integer with the new profile message number.
Number of lines of coding as I see: Some where around 20 - 30 Depending on what features you want it to have.
Perhaps you should try it in AutoIT?
Edit; you wouldn't have to create a log in function.
Another feature possibly. Grab the username of the user that has posted the message as well.

You aren't wrong, but I meant vb as in vbulletin.
Also, as a side note: I don't use vb. I judged it when I first started programming because everyone that came along used it. I raged so hard and hated it. I'm not so irrational now, but I'm learning C so vb isn't on my to-do list as of right now. Maybe down the road.
I was suggesting this as a site feature. I was also considering a greasemonkey script. If it gets shot down, I'll try and rig something up for release.

I started working on it in Vb.net. Probably gonna rage but yea, it's about done. Just gotta test it and stuff. For a Vbulletin add on... Sounds really good. Maybe Chris might be up for it? Also, I suggest you learn C#. It's a nice language.

Never have gotten the point... Why fix something that isn't broken? There is absolutely no reason that you'd need this, unless you get 3 OR MORE profile posts PER DAY, which, judging by your profile... you do not.
This isn't Facebook, we don't have 10000 technicians fixing every damn thing on the site, we have what... three? When they work? Suggest something that will honestly improve the site, not your simplicity of your profile.

If we followed the "don't fix it if it aint broke" policy all our lives, we'd still be using outhouses and building Motorwagens.
Point: If something is relatively simple to improve, why not?
Also, I stated that it was completely unnecessary and would simply be a nice feature.
It's also apparent that it's more useful for when you have 1 or more by the same person. Otherwise it just leads to your profile.
This is a suggestion, not a demand. In fact, this is something that could likely be done in minutes. It's not a big deal.
Stop whining.

It'd be nice, but there is really no necessity to do this, so we're going to have to put this on hold until we have more members, and more programmers that would be willing to do this.
