1:49000 chance of apophis hitting us on the first pass... I beleive the odds are in our favor

I dont think itll happen. and plus , an asteroid its size, may create a decent amount of ejecta and cause the sun to be blocked in some reigons , but the time frame of which wouldnt be signifigant enough to cause any noticeable damage to flora and fauna

There is no apophis, NASA has even said that there is no astroid or meteor even close to the earth, and the chances of it hitting the planet, if there was, are far more astronomical than 1:49000. The earth is protected by the gravitational pull and reflex of Jupiter and the other Super-Giants that are near the planet. Their pull is so powerful that it cannot be passed unless those planets were to be destroyed instead.

And I'm more inclined to believe NASA than a lame movie or another lame source with no real scientific backing in space exploration, compared to an organization thats only real purpose is to explore space and the great abyss around us.

I some what believe it im half and half. Kind of afraid though scare the crap out of me. :/

People are only scared because of the Mayan's prediction.
However, many Mayans have stated that their prediction is about the start of a new age like how our calendar restarts and starts a new year. Then some guy was liek OH JEEBUS IT IS TEH END OF DEH WERLD
and like everyone is scared now.

Yea, well.... would it be added that Mayan calendar might be on different settings by any chance?

Anyways, been feeling myself too(without nasa and such) that earth would continue going on safely for long long while. Thought i am pretty much person who wont believe in most of this bshit going around...
thought there is ONE theory about doomsday which pretty much would be count possible(see below).

No ones gunna die but its going to start a new era as i think.
#46
I mean it has a lot of fortellings and such but nothing reall could be decided on the basis of what we do know.. it's like Y2K we'll just have to wait and see.
#47
There are alot of theories on what will happen on 2012. There is were all going to die,We will evolve into higher beings,or simple nothing iwll happen. We can pretty much just wait and see what will happen. If we die we die it was going to happen eventually

2012, hmm. Well, we'll have elections for the next president. Some natural disaster is going to happen sometime near December and everyone will freak out thinking it's the end of the world, then we'll move on.

well, theoretically, God would have no part in the end of the world, if he even exists. according to the media and the fear mongers, its all science, even though they look at no real fact, and rely on some bullshit some ass-bag in suit, they think they know what is going on.
#51
I think its just some bull that some imbecile group came up with and then dragged it out to the idiot masses.

2012 was originally brought up by the conspiracy theorists that believed that the Mayans predicted the end of the world. the media brought up an internet bot, that searches the entire internet for the most commonly searched and posted text and words on the entire net. its came up with a numerical value, 2012, as the most common numerical value that is on the net.

It eventually was brought by the media as it seemed as a predeliction for the end of the world as the numerical value coenceded with the end of the mayan calendar, or the end of the era that is shown.

its is all a conspiracy that people are buying into to validate that their lives that lead to nothing will be void if the world actually ends, which is not going to happen.

i think its real!
im gonna live my life to the fullest before 2012
#54
I believe its all bs. Plus, even if it does end up happening, what can we do about it? Let the end come whenever it does, being scared and shit just makes the end of your life shittier I guess. I think its totally stupid though.
#55
It is probably fake but if the world does end then that is what happens. People need to stop worrying about it. If we are all meant to die that day then we will all die. It is that simple.

1/5 CHANCES that dinosaurs will randomly begin falling through portals in the sky. and thus every known logic of the birth of the dinosaur is smashed

show me proof that god exists, and that he is going to end the world. And leave out the Book Of Revelation, ive read it. there is no proof in terms of religion or science that the world is gonna end in 2012. the church when it puts any validity on 2012 are doing it to bring people to church out of fear, which is sorta similar to the dark ages. think about it logically and not with the religion or nonsense that was jammed into your psyche.
