x_x We need a music thread too, C O F F I N. If there IS one (I coudn't find it) then someone please move this to there.

Anyway! I wanted to share some of my music with you all, and as who here makes music, or knows someone who does? If you do, what do you use? What are your favorite genres of music? :p Do you also think rap is a lot better when it's put to Nujabes or MINMI?

Please share.

Nujabes vs Kanye West - DJ Raivu
YouTube - Aquarian Dance ~ Touch the Sky

Street Junkie - DJ Raivu

Man vs Himself - DJ Raivu

The rest of my stuff is in my videos on there, but I posted them when I got my channel first started so you'll need to go to the beginning of my video uploads to view them. (They have my album cover(s) on them.)

WE do need a music thread. I suggested it way back when site just went up again...Plobby said we'd get one eventually.
I listened to the second one. Cool stuff. I once made an AMV that was like 20 minutes long but aside from that and multi-tracking a few jam sessions of myself I'm not too good with the edit stuff. I've always thought it was cool though.

Also nice have like a 100 youtube videos.

Also guitarist is pretty good. I can play Voodoo child too. Good jam song. He can sing too though, I'm not too good at that part.

I figured. I actually just finished a project last week where I designed a double record album. I built it to look just like a vintage record, but over laid a cover design on every surface. I'll stick the images up in art section, my teacher still has record though.
I played while my friend presented it, it was a cool like project.
Oh, I subscribed. 8)
I don't have any thing up so don't bother subscribing to me.

I'm going to sub anyway out of respect and thanks. :)
So you're stuck with it, man.

And nice. Do you know where I can find a blank vintage record? o.O

Well thanks. I'll put up a recording or two of me playing that you can play with if you want to, later though.

Pawn shop, junk store, record/music store, garage sale, or an art show.

No, you asked where to get a record.
I've not really played for money but one time for a fund raiser. I mostly jam with people or do a talent show, or teach. Sometimes if I can find someone to do it with I just set up somewhere and play for an hour or two. I like to go to music stores and pick up a guitar and just jam.

x_x I was in psychology...very tired. lol. We don't have any of those places around here, unfortunately.

But yeah, I'd like to see some of your playing sometime when/if you upload it. :)

People don't have garage sales where you live? You could try ebay. Just don't ruin a good record, get a warped on or something.

I really want to put some stuff up at this point, but I'm so f' up right now. I have an ear infection and the flu. I have some stuff that I recorded a year ago though if you want to hear it...its not good at all really.
Here:
Alright, I was sight reading these to prove to this punk band I wanted into that I could pick up there set list in a month or less. http://www.themusichutch.com/listen.php?songid=71334

This was to prove I was learning to play the guitar. I sat down improved and recorded and mixed the whole thing in twenty minutes. No redos, no clean up.Since then I've improved two fold easily. http://www.themusichutch.com/listen.php?songid=71333

Like I said, these are not shining moments and are rather old at this point. But it shows the kind of stuff I'm into.
My break through in guitar came not very long ago. I went to see "It Might Get Loud" the day it came out, I came home and played guitar for two days straight with out sleep and didn't go to class. Since then I've been rather crazy with my playing.

I forget what the first one is on, most likely its on my junker. I have this piece of crap Fender imitation that is falling apart but sounds rather good.
I like the first one too. Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath riff for the win.
The second one has the junker on the back track and the les on the lead.

I actually really want to get one of those Volvo First Act guitars from a few years ago.
In all truthfulness any guitar can sound good, some always sound better and have tone and sustain based on wood and make. But in the proper hands crap guitar can sing just as good as any other.

I never thought of it that way. o.o I only know how to play the intro to "Sweet child of mine" but I play it very very slow and my pinky can't stretch quite as far...I need a lot of practice.

That's a good riff. Not too hard of a song either.
Guitar isn't hard. Heck Slash only uses power chords and the pentatonic scale and he's easily one of the greatest guitarist ever.
Practice is important. Hours and hours of it till your fingers bleed or hurt so much you can't go any more.

do you have any exercises you use to help stretch your fingers and become more comfortable?
#21
Ok, there are three things you need to do.
One: Stretch each finger and arm before you play
Two: Do a stretch drill. (I'll post a tab under this)
Three: Do a finger exercise. Start on the low E at the first fret . Play it open then first finger first fret, then second fret second finger, ect. All the way down the neck then back up, then next string. Do that several times a day.

Any time you learn any thing play it mega slow, so slow that you can't mess up. Just play it like that 100 times then speed up a little and repeat, ect.

Stretch loop:
