Poetry by Raivu
I'm a man of poetry. I love it. It's very descriptive. Does anyone else do or love poetry? If so, please share them here. I'd love to read them.

My new best friend
Raivu

I made a new friend today.
So modest and sweet.
We went to the park
Where we spent most of our week

We agreed to be together
‘Till death do us part
And so she bares not a ring
But a large golden heart

We spend every day together
It never goes to our head
As I lay down at night
She joins me in bed

Her hair is so soft
It gleams in the sun
When I want to walk
She wants to run

A man will never be
As lucky as I
For I truly love
This dog of mine.

I may be funny.
As a clown can be.

But all you can see.
Is the little part of me.

Slowly take a breath.
Then look into my heart and you'll see.

The sad part of me.

I love poetry, but I'm not so good when it comes to grammars.
Anyway, i made this one when i saw your thread.
Took 15 minutes.

Nice stuff. I used to write all the time in high school...especially in math.

Look to the night sky
Heaven can't lie
the past won't hide
in the stars so high
time can't pass on by
the truth it holds
thus the past unfolds
but never before your eye

In this time of trouble Mother Mary comes to me,
whispering sweetly "Let it be."
I wake up to the sound of music,
early in the morning the sun is shinning down on me.
My spirit soars, my hear is weak and aches to be, with thee again.
Time will lend me strength and Mother walks by me.
I let Her song set this man free.
It carries me through the darkness,
never ceasing, never failing me.
So the light shines for me.

So You think you can tell
Heaven from Hell?
What if we're all just souls
in fish bowls?
Looking for reason.
Answers in plain sight.
Sayin' "Yeah follow the light"
ah, but I'm not right.

They said its ok
if I don't know any way
but that is a lie,
just like "You're gonna fly"
Shot holes in my heart.
Engine won't start.

I'm all gone.
The shell remains,
so on goes the game
The people can see
its just not me.

Don't know where I am.
But I'm still here...
Hidden by fear.
Don' think they'd understand.
Don't think they know
Don't want them to star.e.
Don't think they'd care.
So I can't let them near.

Can't stand here.
Can't Be Alone.
So I hung up the phone.
Nobody's home.

Now I'm lost.
Can't seem to find any thing
Not even a dime
to send out the call.

What do I do?
I won't slip away.
Two side of the coin.
Can they be one?

Pictures different on the other side.
Kids keep tapping on the glass.
My head ache won't pass.

Can I break free
Now that I see
The problem's
with
me?

The looking glass won't tell.
What you call Heaven, I call Hell.

Hark, where now is the horn that was blowing?
Where now is the rider, whose heart beat true?
What has become of the horses’ manes’ flowing?
What of the slick mail and swords, do they not strike true?

What has become of our once valiant race?
Passed into time without reason or rhyme
have we now fallen so far from former grace?
Foolishly seeking filthy wealth that shine.

Some have not yet forgotten that truly great age.
Always telling romantic tales; wide eyed
We wait on in our cursed social cage;
Our true ideals unable to hide;

Still we seek to live in the bygone past.
Seems that everyone ask “how can you last?”

There or here, here or there.
To choose one seems so unfair
to stay I wonder if I'll dare?

To leave them all behind
or go on down the line
out there, somewhere
maybe one I can call mine
still friends are hard to come by.

Thus my misgivings abound
a choice too great for me to call
still they must hound
as to which collegic hall.

Let it be;
To enjoy this time is key,
later I will pay the fee.

The river ever rushes on.
I'll end up where I belong.
It won't be long.

Wow, that's some nice collection.

I love you, sweetest thing i can say.
Words I can prove all day.
As soon as you ask me "do you really do?"
I'll answer with my whole heart "Of course! I really do."
Then you'll smile seductively, looking at me upside down.
You took a deep breath, as I'm thinking what you'll do.
Then you reach out and turn on your PS3

Took me 20 minutes... I don't know how to finish it. xP

Its an interesting format and style. The more you write the better you'll get and the more you'll develop your style and form.

What do you mean by the word "format"? o.0

Well, My works always have a rhythm or a pattern.
Whatever you can call it, so I'm guessing that's the format thing.?

Form, format, whatever.
The arrangement of your end rhymes in the first one was interesting to me.

I'm not convinced yet.

I like poetry. You can tell an entire life story in just 12 lines and have it be 10 times more powerful than an actual story.

Then I'll post it here :)

We need a writing/poetry section now.
Less is always more Raivu. That's the power of poetry. To quote Clapton "The space between notes is far more important that the notes." It always about what you don't say but still do that determines the power of you statements.

My voice was said to be good, but need to practice more...
I can sing, just provide the lyrics and the background music. xP

My other notebook of them were better, But heres two. PS) Most of it doesnt rhyme for a reason, at any rate, here it is.

Tonight is the night.
Where we welcome the dead ones into our souls,
Into our life.
Sometimes, they need to speak for themselves.
Not tell lies.
They know what really happened.
And tell us, so we know to.
How tonight began.
And how tonight flew.
They tell stories about life.
Just for today, just to grasp tonight.
Tonight is where it all began.
And just got out of hand.
And tonight there very near, to sing there song, and make it clear.
Some were collected, some were not, but, they fought and fought.
Some were seen, some were not, depending on what they brought.
If they were happy and glad, not sad or mad, they'd be seen, which isnt bad.
Some were big, some were small, some were short, some were tall, All were recognized within time, Because they had to rhyme.

This is only avaiable tonight, NOT tomorrow, when the darkness erupts and the sun dies, its only seeable within your eyes.

Why? Its just tonight.

Rather dark one i wrote.^

The In crowd-Sydd(: 10-20-09:2:13am

So, people think your cool, your the popular one at school.
You get everyones attention, your really adored.
But, you made a mistake when you got bored.
Do you regret it at all?
Now your not part of what is defined to be ...
"The in crowd"

:o those are awesome. I especially love the last one.

@Oharo: :p depends on what mood I"m in. Right now I'm working on a soft core techno/piano piece, but other time I'll do a lot of scratch beat and mix rock.

@Taz: I do a lot of things people didn't know I do. ;)

I meant back up vocals. I usually play lead guitar though...sometimes rhythm. I can manage bass if we need it.

*likes that this has gone from poem thread to LG Band.

Some changes.

I may be funny.

But you only see,
the little part of me.

Take a deep breath.
And look into my heart.

There you'll see.
The bitter part of me.

I have about 9 different drawing pencils on me at all time, and a good mechanical one usually tucked behind my ear, or in my back pocket. I've also filled out about...hang on. brb...

...37 different sketchpads and I have 10 full 3-ring 5 subject notebooks and binders stuffed with hand-drawn hentai and a lot of my old mangas I used to work on way back on 5th and 6th grade. :p

I think you and I would get along really well Sydd. :) You just became one of my favorite people.
