What music genre you like?
Didn't know whether to put this in the debate section or here :B

So tell me do you like Rock, Rap, Metal[And all that loud stuff], Techno, Country, Jazz, or Opera?

I mostly like Rap and alittle Rock.

Don't like metal because its to loud.
Techno to gay.[No offence]
Country no thanks.
Jazz to old.
Opera ._.

I'm the opposite, a lot of rock and a little rap. Some electronica/techno stuff. (:

Techno maybe be gay but I'm a girl so that's acceptable. D: <
I actually listen to a little bit of everything, so I don't really have a favorite, favorite.
Oh and it's opera, unless you really meant oprah! D:
In that case I don't listen to oprah she's annoying. D:

You have to choose one.

@Jay :Cool.

If it sounds good, I'll listen to it. Just for proof I'll throw down some of my favorite artists.

-Gorillaz
-Emalkay
-Red Hot Chili Peppers
-Sheryl Crow
-John Coltrane
-Raekwon
etc.

Doesn't mean I like everything they've done, but I definitely don't leave music as closed as to just one genre

C0FFIN I wanted to tell you (in hopes you wouldn't hunt me down and skin me alive), Skynyrd came to Maine and played at the Bangor water front, and I went. :D It's the ONLY time I was able to yell "Freebird" at a concert and actually have it happen. The last concert I did that at was a Bryan Adams concert and he just laughed.
And thanks :) I would if I wasn't going to get banned or infracted for it haha.

On topic: Yessss I listen to a lot of Aerosmith, Gunz n' Roses, The Cult, EXTREME, etc. and I hate mainstream with a fiery passion, but the ONLY Mainstream bands that I like are

a. Daft Punk
b. Airborne
c. Any that I mentioned earlier

C0FFIN I'd expect you to love Airborne too, if you haven't already heard them. They're like the modern-day ACDC. I mean this 110% literally.

A Skynyrd concert is and interesting thing to be at. I've seen the lineup as it currently exist play before. They're still rather good but not the same as when Ronney and the boys were alive.
I've come to the conclusion that people don't respond to yelling "freebird" for two reason: They don't know your serious and because they can't.
The fact AC/DC is playing still would make them the modern AC/DC, no?
But I'll listen to them sometime. I don't listen to a lot of modern artist. A lot of the people I really like are still doing what they do. Like Jeff Beck, he's been at the forefront of every musical movement since he started playing in the 60s.

What i like is not really an option, I prefer "Post industrial rock" whatever the fuck that means.
bands like:
explosions in the sky Explosions In The Sky
mono (Japanese one not the other) MONO on MySpace
God is an astronaut GOD IS AN ASTRONAUT
Mogwai mogwai on MySpace Music
Maybeshewill MAYBESHEWILL on MySpace
the evpatoria report
65 days of static
yume bitsu
and on the "main stream side" i listen to an alt rock radio station
but thats because nothing above is on the radio.
Modest Mouse is amazing and my second favorite band, so i guess ill just click on Rock for the ease of simplification
though i also like techno, jazz, opera, etc.

alright I'll rephrase it. They're like AC/DCs um...twin. sort of.

And to make your life a hundred times easier, this is a personal favorite.

They mentioned in a lot of interviews, they get their influence from AC/DC since they're from the same location, as well as Gunz n Roses and Aerosmith. Basically all the good stuff, but mainly AC/DC

@Takoyaki: I looove modest mouse

Does video game music count? If not video game music, I usually listen to a mix of genres except country western. I hate that music.
