Computer help!

Okay so i am not sure if this is the right forum but since it says discuss anything i am just going to post here. Please move this if there is another place for it.

Okay so on one of my computers won't go on the internet. All my other computers work fine but this one. I am using a LAN cord( i think that's what it is called). And the My Network says that internet is running but when i go on a browser it gives me the unable to load page thing. I don't know what the problem is. Would someone mind helping me, this thing is making me cut myself.

Edit: I am running Windows XP.

First thing is to check if the Network Device is Enabled.

You mean the Local Network Settings? If that's what your talking about then yes it is enabled. But i still can't go on the internet.

are you using an on board LAN connection. (on the mother board) or a added one, like a PCi Card.

sorry i am not good with this computer stuff. But i believe the LAN connection was made with the computer. Whats a PCi card. (sorry for being a noob.)

What browser are you using?
Google Chrome - Get a fast new browser. For PC, Mac, and Linux

Download that browser.

if you try an other browser ittle work hehe
but i had the sam thing cause i was messing around so i just made new account on my computer and copied all the files on to it and it was just fine hehe try it if you are bored and it still doesnt work ^^ Good luck!

Restart your computer. Wait for your computer to say its connected. Open up IE and go to 192.168.1.1

Does it load?

My computer is connected to the internet didn't i just say that?
Its just i can't go on the internet.( I mean browsers and other stuff.)
It gives me an error page when trying to go on.
No this has nothing to do with browsers, i mean i'm not that stupid to still be using IE (no offense to people who use IE)
Is it b/c i changed Hard Drives or something? But it was working for a couple of months b4 this happened, but then again it didn't work at all for a couple of months. Is it a virus? Pretty sure it's not some maleware.

@Taz How do you expect me to put that on my computer when i clearly can't go on the internet?

Just do what i said. Just because it says you have internet, doesnt mean its true.

And use IE when you test it. It may be the browser.

When i connect the LAN it says connected. When i disconnect it it is disconnected, seems pretty true if you ask me.
Also tried IE, Chrome, and Mozilla. Not working at all.

Also before a firewall was blocking my internet connection, is it something wrong with the router?
